Soke is one of the most fluid of my martial arts heros! He has combined boxing along with serveral other martial art systems to become one of the greats!
Excellent demo, the thing that impresses me as a boxing coach, is how fluid Soke moves are! Boxers would always say that this would not work against a skilled boxer because a boxer keeps his punches short. The key is the triangle footwork, combined with the vital point striking, please make some videos Soke of your great work!
So good to see such an interest in traditional martial arts. I enjoy the debates with people who can only relate to cage fighting. What most fail to realise is that these are the foundation for all arts and were taught and used in the most violent period's of human kind. I'm from the UK and have attempted Japanese jujitsu, noticed a few of the movements used. Salute to you soke. this is poetry to me.
Your not too correct on this theory. What you fail to mention is that although this was the foundation of all arts that were taught, it,never the less, was tested against live and high percentages of resistance. That’s what made the Japanese jiu jitsu and it’s efficacy accurate. On the contrary, here we have instructors who rarely if ever, display these techniques against live resistance. These is why it has created, with reason, hundreds of naysayers who disregard these techniques, and with merit I should add. In All other arts we see live resistance, instead of an uke who throws him self around, doesnt resist a bit and goes into what is perhaps at times unnecessary forward rolls. We do not see this in boxing, kickboxing, mauy thai, wrestling of any type(greco, freestyle or folk), Brazilian & Japanese jiu jtisu, sambo, or Judo. The aforementioned arts have all displayed there accuracy because they have all been tested time and time again against live and high pressuring resistance thereby canceling out any doubt of their Efficacy. I am not trying to disrespect these practitioners. But I am citing what I’ve witness as an experienced martial artist since the age of 13 (having participated and still do in many of the aforementioned arts)…and when you do see these fellows in these videos compete, almost absolutely none of these techniques displayed here can be seen on their competition platform. Now until proven wrong, many of us would like to follow a scientific method to martial arts, where we test the hypotheses(fighting techniques) time and time again and keep the moves that work time and time again against high levels or resistance and discard from our tested results any useless moves which does the opposite. If this does not enlighten the reader as to why many cast doubts behind these moves displayed in many of these vids than I don’t know what else will.

I want to one day meet this brother and train with him. I planned to drive up last Summer from my home in Houston but Covid got in my way! Still planning to make the trip!!!
Would any martial art or science work in an unpredictable situation ? These men are trained killers. I speak from personal experience and knowledge of SANUCES Ryu efficacy in the streets. OSU and respect
I've been searching, can't find footage of him sparring, he slaps students in the face and hits them and throws them as they come after him with lunge punches, no grappling, no pressure test footage to be found. It's all good theory, but we don't know how it would work against broken rhythm, combinations, a fast double leg and rear naked choke or something like that because apparently this is how they train more often than not.
Excellent demo my brother, when you coming to Africa to show our brothers and sisters what time it is lol or maybe open up a school, if there's ever a time Africans need to learn Martial Arts it's now, hint, hint.
im open minded but from what ive seen in this comment section , its effective and elegant but there no sparring??? how do you know if its effective if you dont spar. bullshido probably

Moving at a 45 degree angle it's all in the foot work.

I really respect Aikijiujitsu. An effective and beautiful art.
I just wish there was sparring, you know pressure testing.
Love the video, Do you have any videos of Sparring to see the total effectiveness in unpredictable environments?
