  • how to wire wrap a briolette:
26 gauge in a gauge or wire that fits through the hole. Most beads can be wrapped with 24-26-28g)
    Briolette gemstone beads
    Tools needed are:
Round nose pliers, wire cutters & chain nose pliers tools from ‪@beadalon‬
    1. Pull the wire through the hole & bend it so that one side is bent over the of the briolette. Bend the other side of the wire up, so that they cross each other just above the point of the briolette. You want a little bit of space between the crossed wire & the top of the bead.
    2. Take your pliers & bend the longer side of the wire straight over the top of the briolette stone.
    3. While holding the wire in the crossed area above the stone take your fingers & take the tail wire & twist it around the base of the longer wire 3 times. Cut off excess wire & pinch close.
    4. Take your pliers & bend the wire at the very top of the three coils in a 90° angle off to the side.
    5. Place your round nose pliers in the wire bend at the top of the three coils & with your other hand take the wire and will put over the top of your round nose pliers forming a loop at the top of your stone.
    6. Using your pliers, hold the loop in place and take your hand and wire wrap the wire under the loop until it reaches your previous wire wrapped coils. Cut off excess wire and pinch close.
    7. You have now wire wrapped a briolette!

I like watching you do your work. I’m a metalsmith. And originally I got into making jewelry using beads. Semi precious and precious Beads and made some really cool jewelry in the early 2000s. But my heart is with silversmithing. OK don’t laugh at me, if I could take a picture, I would show you but my board that hangs on the wall has so many gorgeous stone beads semi precious stone beads real real turquoise beads and in all types of shapes. I thought I’d share that with you. But I really love watching you on your TH-cam channel hugs🤗Michelle

Thank you very much! I used to metalsmith along time ago, but I don’t have any of my tools anymore. It’s so fun and silversmithing is amazing. Thank you for your support. I really appreciate it.😊❤️
