As an Aussie, I am very happy that some people look on the bright side of our Nation, and realize that the goods overwhelm the Bads. I am just going to put a few points on this video that you did great in and that you could've added. 1. Low Population Density is definitely a massive up 2. Yes we are very diverse, and there is plenty of family fun activities here 3. Our health care system Is amazing, but it would be great if you mentioned the fact that it is free (same as education). 4. Our Beaches are Definitely some of the best you will find in the world, and as a Sydney-sider, I love going to Bondi, Coogee, Manly, Balmoral, Freshwater, Curl Curl, and much more. The surf is great all along the coast. 5. Would have loved it if you included that our Emu's are so intelligent, that we lost a war to them..... 6. Yes, the people here are very kind, if you are lost, there is almost a 100% chance that the first person you ask for help will give you help. I once got lost in Chatswood, so I asked somebody for their phone so I could check where I was, they did not hesitate to help me. 7. I definitely agree, in Australia, you don't ask somebody to be your friend, you are their friend already until you prove this otherwise, it's normal to wave or say hello to somebody while walking down the street. 8. Yes, it would be disappointing to make a video on Australia without including the wildlife. 9. The Deadly wildlife is rare, but when you do come across one, instead of panicking, you just leave the dam thing alone. Pretend its not there, but just don't approach it. Thanks for the great list!

@@Mary-ss6mv Canada's climate is icy. Australia has an icy climate in winter in many places, but we also have the tropics and everything in between. Climate has a huge effect on your activities.
Spot on. I’ve been to Australia only once, in early 2020-fortunately, right before the pandemic craze; unfortunately, right after a massively devastating fire season-and that was enough to put it on my list of potential countries for retirement life. It was awesome. I was in Sydney most of the time. Rented a car and travelled south as far as possible, went for a bunch of hikes right outside Sydney, checked out a bunch of bars, restaurants, breweries, etc. Them Aussies know how to live life. I live in Northern California. Have a great life here, but now I’m always looking west, across the Pacific, down under.
As An Australian that has lived in Victoria for more than 10 years and travelled to Sydney and Brisbane, I have never ever seen a single snake except in the zoos. A truely beautiful country to live in!
Here are ten reasons why Australia is not the best country. There are sharks that kill and eat you. There are jellyfish that sting and kill you. There are crocodiles that kill and eat you. There are snakes that will bite and kill you. There are spiders that will bite and kill you. There are billions of dangerous ants and even more white ants that can destroy anything you build. The sun can burn you skin dry and scorches the earth dry. Many places have to store rain water to survive. 40% of the country is desert. It costs a fortune to visit relatives and friends from the other end. The sun goes to bed far too early. There is very little greenery compared to the size of the country. It seems that everyone is shouting instead of speaking. I spent six weeks in Australia in 1997 I could hardly wait to get back to my green and pleasant land,Britain. Oh, and it is full of Australians.
I think another factor towards good health that is overlooked is the how green our cities are. Even in the central business district you will find the streets have trees and there is an abundance of parks and green spaces. That surely must contribute to both physical and mental health.
Don't want to "rain on your parade", metaphorically speaking, but some while back I read in an Aussie paper (think it was the SMH) that there were some children attending schools there who have never seen a drop of rain in their lives!! How scary must that have been for them? All part/parcel of life in Oz.
I live in Australia and I love it, I was born here and never plan on leaving unless I make it to the NBA. I highly recommend moving her especially in the less dense areas in NSW or in the outskirts of the ACT (Australian capital territory) Have a good one mate!
Great video, as an Australian my one word of advice is to place carefully if you plan to visits due to the sheer distance in between attractions. And at 4:55 you used the flag of New Zealand of Australia’s, their very similar so I get the confusion.
If that's No.3 The People, I was about to say the same thing. The 5 stars of the Southern Cross on the Aussie flag are all white, & 4 NZ stars are red & white, while the large Australian Commonwealth star sits beneath our historically significant Union Jack on the Australian flag but not beneath NZ's Union Jack. It was overall a good introduction to life down under..
the best part of Australia is its people. You have to live in Australia for a little while to know that. Even though the media will always tells you the bad stuff just to sell their newspapers. My biggest achievement in life so far is to became an Australian and I am loving it. You have to work harder in Australia but the rewards are bigger and better then anywhere else on earth
Aussie is a great place. I'm an Aussie, so I am bias :) But I've travelled extensively around the world, not as much as Geo Bible but still a lot, and my experience is that everywhere I've been has had something to offer. I think we have a great planet. I think we have great cultures on our planet. I think that we, as a human collective, are awesome. And may I just add, turning back to this video.......AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE
Aussie here. A couple of other things to mention… the weather is harsh. The sun is strong and the winters get cold. The animals won’t harm you unless you put yourself in their habitat. And most importantly; SWIM BETWEEN THE FLAGS!! Our beaches are beautiful but deadly. Never underestimate the power of the water.
As a die hard Kiwi that has lived in Perth for over 20 years it's hard to admit it but Australia has everything and it's almost like money grows on trees here!
10: Even the major cities can be peaceful and nice, like Melbourne 9: The lifestyle is super fun. As a kid, I remember going to the beach so much. The pool was also a blast. 8:The salary is super good. It means that there’s less homeless people. 7:The healthcare system is amazing. You pay for it, but just through taxes. The sunlight leads to terrible sunburn though. 6: YES! as said in 10, the beach is a blast. All of them. I grew up in Melbourne, so Williamstown beach was great. 5: I didn’t travel much, but there’s so many different types of places, like listed in 4. You can see anything, I loved the rainforests. 4: as said in 5, it goes from rainforests to deserts and beaches 3: So true. I was freinds with someone for 4 years before stopping our friendship. Made up for it after 2: haven’t been, can’t know 1: the wildlife is incredible. Fun fact, Quokkas throw their babies at enemies and run! Their smile is... uh... non-fitting.
Agreed, as a matter of fact there is plenty of green space within Melbourne with all the parks and gardens. Even in the front of the library has a nice lawn area for people to chill out on. Add to that the tree lined streets and the Yarra Walk and people have plenty of places to exercise, picnic or just read a book.
You forgot about the most important reason. The unemployed, homeless and pensioners get lots of money from the government and free healthcare forever, more than anywhere else in the world. There are more homeless people per capita in Australia than in most other developed countries in the world, more than the USA or Canada and about the same as the UK. The salary is good only if you are paid legally, pay your taxes so that the unemployed can get it.
Which free healthcare are these people talking about? Is dental free, is seeing a specialist or even a good GP or psychotherapist free? Each one of these cost hundreds to thousands, and no government doesn't pay it back, sometimes only one third. You probably haven't experienced proper free and universal healthcare. It exists in some countries that are much poorer than Australia and great quality too. When people are masturbating over great free health care in Australia, they are comparing it with the worst, the US!
I was born in Manila, lived in Singapore, Maldives and UK but Australia is by far the best. The no gun laws, The minimum wage is awesome. the food is fresh, drinkable tap water, healthcare system is great, the long summers with sunshine and beaches as well as the great sense of safety. The people are by far the best thing about Australia though. It has it's own challenges but nothing compared to other parts of the world!

I migrated from the UK about 8 years ago - paradise compared to England - except I do not like the salt and vinegar crisps here. My only complaint. Rest is just lovely. Very culturally diverse, friendly, LARGE and I am so glad I am living here.
Idk if it's a tourist thing, and I managed to be in the tourist mindset for more than a year, but when I'm in Australia I have no internet or phone addiction, it's so easy to just notice how everything around you is more interesting than what's on your phone and on the internet, the weather is good, the architecture is clean and nice to look at, there's always something to do, the animals looks like they're from another planet and the animals even have colours compared to where I'm from in northern Europe where all the animals are within the scales of gray.

Im from Melbourne 🇦🇺🇦🇺 great city to live in, pretty erratic weather though, it'll be 30°C one day and 18°C the next day usually this happens at the start of Autumn. Sometimes in Summer we'll get 40°C+ for a whole week
@@what_27 no. Australia sucks compared to the USA. The USA has best laws best Economy best military it’s the biggest and most beautiful and most diverse and much more!
If you are planning to visit, remember the distances. Plan carefully, and do not over-commit in terms of kilometers. From one "attractive" place to the next can be DAYS, so don't spend all your time travelling! For reference, Sydney to Brisbane is 1000 km. Wages are high, so anything involving a service is expensive. Oh yes! The Aus flag has white stars. The one shown is Kiwi flag.
Reasons i love Australia 1. Weather 2. Diversity 3. Population density 4. Isolated from world It's my dream country for these 4 reasons, hopefully one day i'll be part of Australia 💕
I live in Australia and can confirm it’s very good. Mainly because of the pay, I don’t have a university degree or any major qualifications, but I make $2600 AUD per week, work pays for our fuel and food, and accommodation, and work clothes. Also I’ve meet some people who make a lot more than that who didn’t go to university either.

I am grateful to our Heavenly Father for guiding me to enter Australia. I have not encountered racism and this is such a diverse and multicultural country which provides benefits for its people.
A two hour drive from Sydney is easy, so I can go from a large vibrant clean interesting city to a beautiful coastal town with never ending beaches an estuary a lake with mountains in the background and a blue sky that goes on forever. But the beauty is not just a small coastal town near mountains ............. it's in the sky! The night scene gives one a view from the southern hemisphere into the dense centre of our galaxy, combine this with no light pollution and you can see a star field in the sky that you can make a shadow on the ground from starlight using your outstretched hand!.......... the stars are so bright dense and vibrant they form as one vast mass of stars. I make a trip often and we just lay on the beach all night having a few drinks, counting shooting stars, satellites, and things up there that cannot be explained.
I'm only one minute in and you've made me so happy that you've said Melbourne properly (the way we say it), not like so so many other videos where they over emphasise the 'ourne', so thank you for not saying it like a doofus, lol
God, you have no idea how many times people have pronounced Canberra incorrectly. WAY TOO MANY TIMES! Almost every video about Australia that isn't made by an Australian, they mispronounce it.
There are few if any better places to live, work, raise a family and simply enjoy your life. If you're young and want frenetic, Melbourne and Sydney are for you. Adelaide and Perth offer a slower pace but are still vibrant, and stunningly beautiful. All the major cities and even regional towns are better than most anywhere else.
As a Aussie there is one thing I hate in my room I tend to get huge huntsman spiders and red backs and it’s pretty common to see a snake but most of the time I love it here I’m 14 and I love to swim in my pool and go to the beach we also have great jobs for teens we get paid a lot and I think most people in Australia earn over 110,000 also with the sunshine part it is extremely easy to get sunburned in sat outside had a barbie for an hour and a half and I got sunburned and sleeping you just have your air con on but in winter it is cold well in you live in nsw, tas,sa,vic and act
As an Australian living in Perth for the last 20+ years, and with the experience of travelling many many countries, I feel blessed to live here. In this city, even a small park visited by rarely 10 persons a day, it is amazing how beautiful it can be. God's own place.
I have been to some really shitty third world countries and some really shitty first world countries. I have I huge public hospital and three private hospitals within 300 metres of my front door. Eight modern supermarkets within 1200 metres Five High Schools within 800 meters. Two major suburban railways stations within 800 meters Picture theatres, numerous restaurants and five large clubs, and a new international airport being built six kilometres away. Fresh food, clean drinkable water, blue sky , sunshine . I forgot to mention the two large technical colleges, University campus, two golf courses, paceway and football stadium all within a couple of kilometres from home. I like Australia and living here is winning the lottery.
Glad you got around to mentioning Tasmania! Mainland Australians rave about Tasmanian scenery, but you missed it off (I know, only a short video). But that's okay, we'd like to keep it a secret a bit longer.
Some other fun facts: We celebrate Xmas in the middle of Summer. There's never been a war, civil or otherwise (unless you count the great Emu War of 1932) on Australian soil. Yes you can literally take the longest walk on the beach, start at Bondi and go in either direction. Aussies get along so well with Brits (or "poms" as we tend to call them) because the majority of Australia's white population are descended from convict and settler populations from the UK, and we regularly beat you in cricket.
Just fyi, having a low pop density can also be very isolating for Europeans. You can literally drive for 3 days straight and not see another human being. Most Aussies won’t leave the big cities for that reason; there are many beautiful places, but you have to drive for hours and hours to get get there, often through rugged non inhabited country. I live in Australia, but half my family is from the uk. I notice when they’ve come here and left the cities the sense of isolation really affects them.
When I was in NZ we crossed half the north island in a couple of hours and I started feeling claustrophobic. Can't imagine living in a country where I can drive from one end to the other in half a day (12 hours).
Well as an Aussie born and bred, isolation is what I crave, when I go camping on holidays, I dont want to see another human, just me mum and the kids. No phone reception, no data, just you and the bush, no car sounds, no cities, no barking dogs just you and nature, its great. Of course you have to have the mindset, you have to be self reliant and prepared, I have a Sat Phone for emergencies, first aide kit and know how to use it, always carry twenty litres of water in the car and two litres when walking. But trust me when you get used to camping out under the stars, a full moon in a quiet desert, or in a quiet moaning forest with no other sound, but night life of owls and possums, the odd dingo howling, there just is nothing like it. The idea of holiday in in a busy city, or resort, crowds and traffic, is stomach turning to me, shopping malls, theatres, amusement parks is not for me.
And they have beautiful mermaids to, living on the Mako island... 🙂 I could have travelled to Oz once upon a time, when I was rich, I got visa...and I got scared of flying. 😞
Schooling in Australia is pretty good, but the camps are amazing. You can go to nice places. (Aussie fact: WA is the 2nd largest country state in the world, it literally is a third of the country)
Glad you love our country. You got it all right apart from showing the New Zealand flag. They have red stars with white border. Ours are all white and we have 2 additional stars. We also have awesome snow fields. skiing and snowboarding are a big thing here.

Nice video mate! I'm Australian and left to live in the USA at 25 (through a job, now a permanent resident there). I did love the natural beauty of Australia, but I didn't love the 'tall poppy syndrome' and isolation from the rest of the world (25+ hours to travel to EU??) - never really felt like I fit in. While I'll always be Aussie, I don't regret leaving - more job opportunities and a life philosophy that aligns with my own more closely!

@@Mary-ss6mv Canada's climate is icy. Australia has an icy climate in winter in many places, but we also have the tropics and everything in between. Climate has a huge effect on your activities.
How bloody boring.
Our bird life is incredible, I miss the morning chorus when I’m out of Oz. Australia is also great for camping, cycling and motor bike riding.
New Zealand flag isn’t seen flying often in Australia 😂
Yeah coz it's australia
That’s the New Zealand flag
I think another factor towards good health that is overlooked is the how green our cities are. Even in the central business district you will find the streets have trees and there is an abundance of parks and green spaces. That surely must contribute to both physical and mental health.
The downside of so much sunny weather is drought. Sometimes lasting for years.
Yes of course! Maybes we should include that in a "10 reasons why Australia ISN'T the best country in the world" haha.
Have a good one!
And bushfires.
@@terryomalley1974 Yes, Bushfires indeed
"never forget black summer"
Don't want to "rain on your parade", metaphorically speaking, but some while back I read in an Aussie paper (think it was the SMH) that there were some children attending schools there who have never seen a drop of rain in their lives!! How scary must that have been for them? All part/parcel of life in Oz.
Only during El Niño
I live in Australia and I love it, I was born here and never plan on leaving unless I make it to the NBA. I highly recommend moving her especially in the less dense areas in NSW or in the outskirts of the ACT (Australian capital territory) Have a good one mate!
Also if someone is scared of creepy crawlys and snakes, then they can move to Victoria or Tas, pretty safe there compared to the rest of the country.
Great video, as an Australian my one word of advice is to place carefully if you plan to visits due to the sheer distance in between attractions. And at 4:55 you used the flag of New Zealand of Australia’s, their very similar so I get the confusion.
Adelaide to Cairns, 3000 kms in 2 1/2 days. Karratha (WA) to Cairns, over 4000kms, in 4 days - petrol, toilet, vroom.
That's interesting I will love to visit Australia someday

Aussie here. A couple of other things to mention… the weather is harsh. The sun is strong and the winters get cold. The animals won’t harm you unless you put yourself in their habitat. And most importantly; SWIM BETWEEN THE FLAGS!! Our beaches are beautiful but deadly. Never underestimate the power of the water.

Nice video and please make best cities of Australia and also of Canada
10: Even the major cities can be peaceful and nice, like Melbourne
9: The lifestyle is super fun.
4: as said in 5, it goes from rainforests to deserts and beaches
3: So true. I was freinds with someone for 4 years before stopping our friendship. Made up for it after
2: haven’t been, can’t know
1: the wildlife is incredible. Fun fact, Quokkas throw their babies at enemies and run! Their smile is... uh... non-fitting.
Melbourne peaceful nah not really lol
@@TheTruthIsFiction Piss off somewhere else if you don't like it. What a load of rubbish you talk. You blame everyone else for your problems.

I feel so lucky to be Australian. Always have

I quite like huntsman spiders -(as long as they don’t crawl over me). They are quite happy to eat cockroaches, so they are fine by me.

Eight modern supermarkets within 1200 metres
Five High Schools within 800 meters.
Two major suburban railways stations within 800 meters
Picture theatres, numerous restaurants and five large clubs, and a new international airport being built six kilometres away.
Fresh food, clean drinkable water, blue sky , sunshine .
I forgot to mention the two large technical colleges, University campus, two golf courses, paceway and football stadium all within a couple of kilometres from home.
I like Australia and living here is winning the lottery.
I live in NZ, and I would like to go to Australia one day
He showed the Kiwi flag while talking about friendliness. Probably correct except when its the All Blacks vs the Wallabies at Eden Park.
Who cares
