Hello Angela! I so enjoyed your chatting today. In the USA we have pigs in the blankets too but they are wrapped in a biscuit instead of bacon. Easy to make with canned biscuits or crescent roll dough. The tags are beautiful!

@@AngelaKerrDesigns Thank you, that means a lot to me.💕 We are all packed and heading off tomorrow morning. I haven't been dealing with it all too well this past week. I'm feeling very fragile and cry at the drop of a hat. It's all a bit daunting, but I can do it. I've packed a small suitcase with craft supplies. Hi Angela. Love your Christmas tags. Love hearing how your Christmas is going to be spent. My Darling nanny and poppy who are no longer with us migrated from England in the 50s. Every Christmas they would make a English breakfast and the food was beautiful. Pumpkin scones, mince pies, cauliflower cheese and our favourite pigs in blankets. Plus lots of other surprises. Our Christmas has never been the same without our grandparents. Thank you for reminding me of these very happy times. Congratulations on 1 year and sharing yourself with us all. Take care Linda. 🇦🇺🦘💝

Gorgeous sweater. One of the things I miss most, living in Florida, is the winter with my beautiful sweaters. The tags are so cute!! TFS. Congrats on your one year of self employment. I also have a crew that have all kinds of food requests for each holiday. My son was incredulous yesterday because eight days after Thanksgiving, there were no leftovers!! 😂😂❤❤❤

Wow they’re beautiful. In our house we spend the day of Christmas eve making the dinner which usually consists of roast duck and/or roast pork, with boiled potatoes and caramelised potatoes and gravy. We usually also eat potatochips to this. While dinner is cooking we watch “From all of us to all of you” from Disney. And then we eat the dinner. After dinner we walk round the christmastree caroling a few Christmas songs. Then it’s time to open all the presents which are lying under the tree. After that we eat dessert, a rice and chopped almond pudding which contains a whole almond and whom ever finds this whole almond gets an extra present. Then we all relax and get cosy for the rest of the night.
Oh Miss A, these are delicious and stunning! I love using embossing folders and especially the snowflake one, its extremely effective and with the Gold paint looks like a million dollars!! Beautiful, its a great time of year to 'dazzle dazzle' and gig everything up as you say, thank you for sharing your stories too, I love hearing them, Christmas is very much like yours, with family, Church, feasting, watching favourite programs and do the same on Boxing Day! Yes the postal service is not the best, I'm waiting on my colour ink which has run out, so I'm unable to complete wee elements, but I''m being patient, as it will be worth it when it does arrive! Cauliflower cheese is my favorite! My brother-in-law is British and makes the best I’ve ever had. Pigs in blankets for my family is the little sausages wrapped in a dough and baked.

In the USA, pigs in the blanket vary. It can be link sausage wrapped in a pancake or a sausage or hot dog wrapped in dough and baked. I suspect there are many more dishes with the same name.

Angela, these tags are just lovely! Robins are my favorite of all the birds I feed and watch - so friendly and their songs are delightful! I really like the embossed background & never thought before about using watercolor paper instead of cardstock. I had to laugh at your comments about the luster wax on your hands & under your nails. I too have longer nails, and just finished making the Autumn Whispers mini journal for my mother-in-law, in which I gilded the edges of the cover, all of the main ephemera pieces, and the page edges of the blank journal pages. In addition, I added different types of lace to the edges of the main pieces in the signature, so by the time I had finished, I had gilding wax covered by 3-in1 well & truly stuck under my nails. What a mess! 😄 My nails are natural, so fortunately I didn't have to wait for an appointment with a manicurist to clean them up. So at the end of the day, I had a gorgeous journal and a fresh manicure - not bad for a day's work, yes? 😂
As for our Christmas day traditions, our kids also dictate the menu. Its usually a s!ow roasted prime rib, tiny red potatoes with rosemary & olive oil, and several kinds of salads. Then it's time for pies, cookies, and several hours of family-style games. Same old, same old year after year, but our kids & now our grandkids love it. I guess there's something comforting or reassuring about the predictability of Christmas at Nanna & Pop pop's house!

Dear Cyndi Sue, I love reading all about the robins you feed and watch and your family too. I did have to giggle about the nails and the gilding wax. It took me days to get it out of my nails. Luckily my daughter is studying her 3rd year in Beauty Therapy, so I get manicures, pedicures and whatever else she needs a model for whenever I can.
Your Christmas dinner sounds delicious!! I think you are right about the predictability and consistency. Definitely comforting. I do love the family traditions.

One thanksgiving we decided to give my mom the day off and went out to eat. It was horrible. We didn’t get the food we ere used to but there were no leftovers. The house didn’t have the warm smells of thanksgiving. My mom decided that she would rather cook than to eat out. As we grew older we all shared in the preparing of the meal so she would not have to do it alone.

These tags are gorgeous! I absolutely 💯 love this! You beautiful puppie is so cute. I was able to visit my fur babie today. It was so heart warming to see how happy he is in his new home and still is excited to see us when we visit. I hate that I had to re home him but so glad the family welcomes us to visit. Oh, the Christmas traditions around the world...aren't they amazing! Haha..."pigs in a blanket" in my part of the US means ground meat with rice and seasonings wrapped in a cabbage leaf and baked in some sort of liquid.....I am of mostly Polish ancestry, and my family has always called them "Halupki", but there's a bunch of names for that dish...!!! When dating my husband he asked if I liked "pigeons"...I said the BIRD? He laughed and said NO...he described the dish, and I said..."Oh, you mean Halupki!" We still chuckle over that one every time I make them!

You cook AND wash up? Xmas day washing up is for all those who DON'T cook. As for the meal, soup, cauliflower cheese & pigs in blankets can all be prepped beforehand & frozen; making things a lot easier on the day. I like the tags, though I don't see how you are planning on attaching them to the parcel.
Haha, thanks Carmen. Yes, I did do the washing up, but my grown children do it now.
The tags are for my Christmas journal, rather than for gifts, but you could attach them with double sided tap. I actually wrap my gifts with a pocket, so it can just be tucked in. So many exciting ways to wrap gifts these days. Hugs xx
I live in America & do not know what you mean by using “packaging” for the back of your tags. What is packaging? I think it means a different substance here.
