Every farm needs a tractor. Don't make the mistake of getting one too small, size does matter.

Jason, we have to do exactly what you just did in order to plant our pumpkins, and melons. At the end of our garden boxes we'll need to box blade, and till. Then make rows!!! Temperatures are peaking ro mid 90's with a heat index at 104 degrews🙃 It's hot, not yet crazy hot though!!!
    Nice job!

Oh my...that soil is a real challenge. Glad you got compost. With time and tons of organic matter it will become awesome garden soul. Think about a cover crop for winter that produces a LOT of organic matter. (like winter rye). And interplant forage radishes to break up the subsoil and pull nutrients up to the growing area. Love your hat Jason.

I feel your pain with that hard soil when I moved to Georgia I lived with my cousin and her husband for a while and we decided to put a vegetable garden in in their backyard one of my customers had a tractor with a disc and he said he would come plow it up for us and the first pass he broke the disc off his tractor that's how hard the dirt was. We found out later from another neighbor that our backyard was used as a lumberyard for building all the homes in the subdivision it took us soaking the vegetable plot using pitchforks and then once he got his disk fixed he came back and did a couple passes with it to really break it up we grew some great vegetables for our family there. Keep strong👏👍🎅🚌🌻

Started video. Grow Mother Hubbard Squash, blue, green, orange. Very large 10 pounds or better, Best tasting, keeps in open just wipe exterior with a little bleach in water. Allow space all around each.
When growing allow 10 ft to spread out. You can sell whole or cut in pieces, and the seeds alone. They are expensive.
I like to eat cooked seeds also. Nutritious.

Well that tractor is way easier than a rototiller. I remember going over our ground 4x one way and 4x crossing over it. Then we added manure. Peeyou... we had good results on the cantaloupe, strawberries and lettuce. Corn not so much. Our temperature wasn't steady enough.
