Yes, selling newspapers at 5 in the morning aged 10, within a very modest family which endures professionnal failures and the loss of the place he loved most (the home in Marceline) and a very strict father who often uses physical corrections. There is this story of Walt Disney aged 14, stopping the arm of his father on the way to beat him with the handle of a hammer, apparently his father broke down crying after that. Surely it's not the most tough childhood to date but still it was no pleasure round...
It changed the course of the entire animation movie industry forever.
Not just changed the animation industry and the film industry, but practically *created* the animated movie industry. You can say that Mickey was what got Disney off the ground, but if it weren't for Snow White, we wouldn't have some of the greatest animated films of all time. Look at Iron Giant, he wouldn't have existed without the first success of Snow White.

I love Snow White, one of my all-time favourite Disney films. And wow, yes, this documentary tells the story of how it went from "Disney's Folley" into what would become a groundbreaking motion picture masterpiece we all know and love today.

I really think Disney should make a film about the making of Snow White like they did with Mary Poppins, Saving Mr. Banks.
Saving Mr Banks was so good. I didn’t think I was like seeing the depressing parts especially how Travers opposed the wonderful creativity being put into Mary Poppins as the movie we all know and love. I would see Snow White in a heartbeat. Plus I have undying respect for Snow White and Mary Poppins
But the question is, who would play Walt?
In my mind and I'm sure in Disney's mind too was that Snow White was going to be a huge gamble for his animation company. It could of lead to probably financial ruin if it wasn't a success. But today we have a film that's a masterpiece.

Probably the same way as Roy Family (the Walt Disney knockoff from that one American Dad episode. It's called "Familyland" and it is hilarious...unless burns against Disney offend you).

I loved this story due to the mirrors misperception of “ fairest “.
The queen meant beauty as the fairest .
The mirror meant equality as the fairest .
In all fairness , it was a easy mistake to make .
That kinda makes me wonder why the Magic Mirror said famed is thy beauty
This is cool and all but umm how do you poison a comb and after 2 tries why didn't Snow White catch onto that this woman was trying to kill her?
Wishful thinking
The poisoned comb was created through witchcraft. I assume it was a special sort of poison that took effect once it was in Snow White's hair.
A lot of ppl don't properly understand the original Grimm fairy tale and so they get frustrated at the fact that Snow White is tricked by her stepmother so many times. However, if you carefully read the story, it makes perfect sense. We learn that Snow White is merely 7 years old at the time that the Queen wants her killed; she's a naive child with basically no life experience. When she arrives at the Seven Dwarfs home, they tell her to be on guard because her stepmother might come looking for her. When the Queen does come to her the first time, she's in a disguise and because the dwarfs didn't tell Snow White that the Queen will probably look nothing like herself if she were to show up, Snow White allows her to come inside the house and falls for the Queen's trick. The dwarfs revive her and tell her to not let anyone into the house when they're away. When the disguised Queen arrives the second time, Snow White follows the dwarfs's instructions by not letting her into the house but the Queen convinces her there's no harm in coming to the window. Snow White agrees and is then poisoned with the comb. The dwarfs revive her a second time and tell her to not speak to strangers. When the disguised Queen shows up with the poisoned apple, Snow White asks her to go away because she's not allowed to speak to strangers. The Queen shows her the apple and after the Queen cuts the apple in half and takes a bite of her half, Snow White assumes the apple is safe to eat but since Snow White's half contained poison, she dies. Sorry for the super long post but all this is to say that Snow White was only a child who followed the dwarfs's advice to the letter but she was incapable of critical or abstract thinking and that's why she fell for the Queen's tricks every time.

@@ThexDynastxQueen technically she was considered dead but instead of sleeping death she choked on a piece of the apple. She grew into a beautiful young woman in the coffin and when the Prince finds her he falls in love with her and visits her everyday. The dwarves refuse to part with her but seeing how in love he is with her they agree to let him take her to his castle. As the Princes servants are carrying the coffin one trips on a tree root and falls which jostled the coffin enough to dislodge the piece of apple in her throat. That wakes up Snow White and the Prince overjoyed asks her to marry him which she agrees to
Everyone who ever worked on Snow White is dead now.
Soon, everyone who even knew Walt Disney in person will soon be gone also.
I never saw this until now! Snow White is one of my all time favorite movies. Haven’t seen it in ten years actually but it is something I used to watch often. Music In Your Soup would have been fun to hear. But I respect it was cut simply for the sake of plot. Good to hear from John Lasseter, Chris Buck, Jennifer Lee, Richard M Sherman, Alan Menken and Bryon Howard!

Maybe RZ should have watched this (a couple of hundred times) before she was allowed to give interviews about the "now disastrous" live action version.
Wasn't KOKO the clown from early silent Max Fleisher animation from a film reference....he sure was and then transfered via Rotoscope process. So S.W. film reference was NOT THE FIRST TIME animation character reference was attempted.
Billy was great as Sneezy...Walt probably knew of his sneezing routine in movie and the rest is history.😊

And to think, f****** "Pinocchio" took all the majesty and dynasty away from this masterpiece. Always my favorite "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". "Pinocchio" is trash if you ask me!
Pinocchio is wonderful as well. The tecnic it's much more amazing and preciseley. But the story of Snow White is more interesting.
"Snow White" is a skillful blend of fairytale, musical theatre and suspense thriller!
By the way, this movie recieved 7 awards and this person can see them at the Walt Disney family museum in San Francisco. This movie reminds me of Sleeping Beauty because both have kissing in it. Also this movie was mentioned on Walt Disney presents.
