People think that Therma is catastrophic for laser builds, and yet my Huntman with 2 HLL, ERPPC and 5 SPL does really well on it. It's all about that fire control and exploiting your range advantage on a small silhuette.
For vertical peaking I found it best to put the 2nd HLL or 2nd LPL in the highest left torso mount. It is a very slight difference but sometimes it helps.
My own version of this build I traded one ER Med for another heat sink. Basically the same thing though. My favorite build on specifically the prime (because you don't have to do anything with the omnipods is 3 medium pulse and an LB 20 with ECM.
Hi BlackHawdSC which mech you would recommend to new players wanting to try assaults or mediums? Maybe you can link some of your videos? The thing is this Hellbringer is sooo much fun I rarely play any other mechs and I do 2x dmg in this one than any other mech I have.
For Mediums I'd recommend the Vapor Eagle. I did a video on the VGL-2 some time ago. New players probably will have to adjust the loadout to account for the high heat of the build, but play around with that one :) For Assaults, the Blood Asp, BAS-B is good for many of the same reasons as the HBR: High mounts and ECM.
It's not discontinued as servers shutting down immediately. I don't think the game, especially QP, needs any more mechs or major features. They're still working on FP, which is what I came to the game for in the first place. Nothing beats the epic state vs state battles. They need tweaks to QP and some existing mechs. I might talk about it in more detail in a different video.
@@BlackhawkSC do you think that separating soloQ and groupQ as well as allowing premades of 5-10 people has anything to do with a decline in playerbase. Two of my friends that played several hundred hours has left the fame since sync drop was the only option to play together. Consequently two other casual players arent coming back since there are no us anymore.
I think the main reason for a decline in player population is just the age of the game itself. But PGI's mistakes also contributed a lot. I'm planning a video on this subject.
Not anymore due to the external DHSs now having 0.22 heat dissipation per second vs 0.15 from before November-ish last year. Considering now that DPS is a huge part of solo queue, you want as many DHS's as possible on laser vomit builds. Pretty much from 2014-mid 2018, you'd take the TC1 but it's no longer the case.
I'd just like to add that I very often find at the late stage of a match I'll suddenly come across a fresh-ish hellbringer and I'll scramble to respond and twist away my most damaged side. They're very effective at just ghosting around burying alphas into people and going largely unnoticed. Always take pleasure in killing these mechs!
Yes, if they're among the last mechs you see in a match, they've played the HBR correctly :D But then that means they should end up with near top damage. If they didn't, they've wasted the mech...
@@BlackhawkSC yes it's certainly extremely potent in the right hands. Not flashy, not spectacular, but very effective if you stick to the gameplan. Always makes me smile 'discovering' one and taking him out to put an end to that shenanigans! :D #smallvictories
Playing the meta is one of the BEST MWO series I have seen.
Great commentary on playing lasvomit on hot maps. I find I actually do very well in these situations because I'm already hyper aware of heat.
I am still running my Hellbringer prime that you showcased in your best beginner mech video. I love the thing. Keep the great videos coming.

Great video, really enjoy these.
very nice work on the stats of the HellBringer...itz my fav too on the battlefield...
Excellent job! You do great work, very professional.
This mech is why I love having at least one PPC. Teammates will ignore it much to often if it doesn't show up on the grid.

Thanks for the vid! Gonna give this build a try during my 'Friday Night Shenanigans™'
Love me some Hell.... ATM12, PPC and 2 LMG in a Prime chassis gives me consistently 500++ damage in most games.
I'm pretty sure that is exactly what EMP used to win their first two titles
Thank you for fantastic mech!
My one just has 6 x MPL and is one of my best mechs. I like getting in close.
What have you bound to your E and Q keys? Also, keep up the good content!
E is Adv Zoom. Q is team info.
That was my 1st mech :D - I run it time to time :)
I am hugely guilty of wasting burn on dead targets. Just feels so good to keep the lasers on point.
You gotta make sure they're dead sometimes ;)
Hellbringer always was great. Jesus... it is even has ECM!
Good old Polar Lurmland rotato.
have you tried er larges and heavy mediums? give you a long rage ability and the heavy mediums bump up the damage high as hell...
I usually don't do builds that mix weapons with big range differences although sometimes it works
My favorite mech. 👌🏻
Please do a targeting computer video!!!!

@@BlackhawkSC Thank you!
Great video! A well piloted hellbringer is a total bitch.
Used the head for a er large. I have not complaints.
That is the first mech to buy build and I liked it, but now I love the laser drill (HLL) build.
Can i put 4 heavy mediums instead just because I can?
ATM's are straight broken right now compared to other missile builds.
Trying out the build:) its very hot
Kind of yeah, but look how fast it cools off!
So what are you thoughts on the MWO discontinuation?

3 hvy med lasers and an ultra ac 20 with ecm is how I roll in a hellbringer.
I feature something like this here th-cam.com/video/xfps1xkGxNE/w-d-xo.html
Is a targeting computer not worth taking?

It says you have 16 Survival nodes active when you very clearly have 22, what the fuck Piranha Bytes?
Ah, that's because I clicked the nodes and didn't hit apply.
