Courtney, Still Standing is a fantastic book! I have been reading your blog for a number of years and have always appreciated the way you point your readers to God and His Word. Your Proverbs 31 study was instrumental in helping me overcome some unhealthy behaviors in my life. Throughout the years you have practiced discretion and demonstrated so much strength and dignity. This book is an extension of that and I am so glad to have read it. It will be a resource I turn to again when I am confronted with new challenges. Thank you for sharing your life with us and always encouraging your readers to seek God's truth on our journeys to Keep walking with the King. Blessings, Kim P.S. I recently came across a song that could be the soundtrack of the book, The God Who Sees Me by FOMO Worship.
Aww - thank you so much for sharing all of this - I am so touched 🌷 and encouraged! God is so good. Through all the years he is so so faithful! Blessings to you too!! 💕
God has definitely given her a gift with her words, and she is blessing so many! Praise the Lord for people like Courtney! ❤ She is definitely a true, on-fire for Jesus woman, and I love how she is always pointing us to Jesus! Another wonderful song you may also love is Stars by Skillet. My husband played it the other day while I was cooking dinner and I found myself sobbing at it's truth and comfort. I'm sharing the lyrics here for you and others! ❤ Stars by Skillet You spoke a word and life began Told oceans where to start and where to end You set in motion time and space But still You come and You call to me by name But still You come and You call to me by name If You can hold the stars in place You can hold my heart the same Whenever I fall away Whenever I start to break So here I am, lifting up my heart To the one who holds the stars The deepest depths, the darkest nights Can't separate, can't keep me from Your sight I get so lost, forget my way But still You love and You don't forget my name If You can hold the stars in place You can hold my heart the same Whenever I fall away Whenever I start to break So here I am, lifting up my heart If You can calm the raging sea You can calm the storm in me You're never too far away You never show up too late So here I am, lifting up my heart To the one who holds the stars Your love has called my name What do I have to fear? What do I have to fear? Your love has called my name What do I have to fear? What do I have to fear? If You can hold the stars in place You can hold my heart the same Whenever I fall away Whenever I start to break So here I am, lifting up my heart (lifting up my heart) If You can calm the raging sea You can calm the storm in me You're never too far away You never show up too late So here I am, lifting up my heart To the one who holds the stars You're the one who holds the stars

Stars by Skillet
You spoke a word and life began
Told oceans where to start and where to end
You set in motion time and space
But still You come and You call to me by name
But still You come and You call to me by name
If You can hold the stars in place
You can hold my heart the same
Whenever I fall away
Whenever I start to break
So here I am, lifting up my heart
To the one who holds the stars
The deepest depths, the darkest nights
Can't separate, can't keep me from Your sight
I get so lost, forget my way
But still You love and You don't forget my name
If You can hold the stars in place
You can hold my heart the same
Whenever I fall away
Whenever I start to break
So here I am, lifting up my heart
If You can calm the raging sea
You can calm the storm in me
You're never too far away
You never show up too late
So here I am, lifting up my heart
To the one who holds the stars
Your love has called my name
What do I have to fear?
What do I have to fear?
Your love has called my name
What do I have to fear?
What do I have to fear?
If You can hold the stars in place
You can hold my heart the same
Whenever I fall away
Whenever I start to break
So here I am, lifting up my heart (lifting up my heart)
If You can calm the raging sea
You can calm the storm in me
You're never too far away
You never show up too late
So here I am, lifting up my heart
To the one who holds the stars
You're the one who holds the stars
