Fragrances like Creed are out of my budget because they are very expensive, so I found this review wonderful.
buy decants of the real thing for special occasions, I find it very hard to believe that these are any way comparable.

The Armaf line is a game changer.
CDNIM is going to get a lot of use on me this summer. You don't have to limit this series to Creed. There's a lot of people looking for alternatives to Tom Ford, Dior, Amouage, and other fragrances that eclipse $150-$200.

Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man smells exactly like Aventus besides for the opening, which is lemony. But like everyone else has stated, after 15-20 minutes, they smell exactly the same. I sprayed my Aventus sample on one hand and CDNIM on the other and couldn't tell the difference during dry down. As a matter of fact, I think the CDNIM was stronger and had better projection, sillage and longevity. I washed my hands several times and took a shower, and could still smell CDNIM on my hand.
Kyle T. no they not. i use cdnim i like it but creed smells softer, sweeter. but cdnim is amazing when hour passes.
I layer some Pineapple Vintage from Parfums Vintage ($84) on top of my CDNIM and you can not tell the difference period.
The main feature of Aventus is the pineapple. So to say that another fragrance smells lemony immediately puts it in another ballpark. Maybe you cannot tell the difference, or prefer the difference, but they are not the same.
It all depends on which batch it smells like. I would say that if you decanted cdnim into an aventus flacon, you wouldn't tell the difference and call it aventus.
We want a similar Creed Viking
Please do the same thing with Tom Ford private blend line.

Be careful. Only Club de Nuit Intense Man resembles Aventus. There are three other Club de Nuit. Two are for woman. One is not Intense. None of the four is anything like the other three.
For the creed silver mountain water fans. Buy Ajmal silver shade instead of al-rehab silver. You will not be disappointed. The ajmal projects for a very long time and smells absolutely identical to creeds SMW. The al-rehab does smell like the creed SMW but it only last on me for like 30min - 1hr. Ajmal silver shade last all day on me.

Both of the Armafs are amazing. I have not smelt aventus but club de nuit intense might be the signature fragrance in my well over 100 plus bottle collection. I am in love with it and now have to sample aventus to compare. Tres nuit is also incredible in regards to GIT.

Great video btw. I have taken your advice and ordered some of the other Creed clones to try, but I have to take issue with your #1 Aventus clone CDNIM. I’ve never made a youtube vid, but I might have to just to end the “Aventus Clone” stuff once and for all. Don’t get me wrong, I own CDNIM myself, but I got so into the whole Creed Aventus clone thing, that I ordered every one I could find myself(and I mean everyone- except Popstar Aqua which is totally unavailable). Here’s the list-
1. CDNIM by Armaf(of course)
2. Pineapple Vintage Intense(the best of the Pineapple line from Parfums Vintage)
3. L’Aventure by Al Haramain
4. Cedrat Boise by Mancera
5. Rumz al Rasasi 9325(Zebra) by Rasasi
6. Vibrant Leather by Zara
7. Insurrection II by Reyane
I even bought Demeter’s Pineapple cologne and mixed it in differing concentrations with the others to enhance the top note.(I was bored that day). Of course, I have a 2016 batch of the real Aventus(which is supposed to a well balanced batch between the fruity and smoky).
And CDNIM is not the closest clone. They each are good in their own way, but note by note, from spray on to drydown, CDNIM is not the closest(in my opinion).
One day I will make a video and compare all of them, I just have not gotten the time yet to do it.

edit- you can add Lataffa’s Al Dur Al Maknoon Silver to the previous list and it is one of the earliest but least appealing clones to me.

godNeco I wrote another comment in another vid that actually ranked them(I forget which vid it was though) . The answer is L’Aventure by Al Haramain. I have to qualify this by saying it is not necessarily my favorite clone, nor does it have the best projection, sillage, or longevity. However, if you are comparing clones simply by a note for note similarity to Aventus from initial top notes to drydown, L’Aventure is , in my opinion the “closest”
I couldn't agree with you more Sir. I purchased CDNIM to save a few bucks but I thought it smelled terrible... I waited for the dry down and it was still awful to me. Maybe I got a counterfeit sample but when I compare it to my Aventus, it smells synthetic, harsh, and worst of all, cheap... I will be the first to admit that I am a cheap bastard but when it came to my 100ml bottle of Aventus, I felt that it was worth every penny I paid for it compared to CDNIM. I won't waste another cent on clones. I just spent the money and got the real thing. As the old saying goes, buy once, cry once...

Great stuff as ever. Gorse is made by Perfume Laboratories here in the UK. It is very nice and similar to Virgin Island Water. Al Haramain's L'Aventure is amazingly similar to Aventus and I'm keen to try Club De Nuit. Keep up the great work.

Creed is a joke regarding prices. Here in Holland all the prices are increased again. They want to be more exclusive but in the end it will be popular grey market product because not many people will pay the full retail price.
Which means many people will pay for fake "low price" Creed and then post reviews saying it's not that great. Fakes are sold as "grey market" products all the time.

I don't understand how somebody can praise love to Green Irish Tweed and at the same time curse Cool Water. The both are from the same era and cast strikingly similar vibe, except for the slightly mintier top and tobacco bottom. Oh, yes the silage is worse
So? At $25 for the large bottle, you can puff some more without any remorse.
It's the aroma chemical "calone" in Cool Water that makes it smell cheap and gross to some people. If you want a great alternative for Green Irish Tweed that doesn't have the calone smell, try Tres Nuit by Armaf.
I was at Perfumania store, and was wearing a Creed Aventus test on the back of my hand. I mentioned to her that I heard Cool water smells like Creed and she and the other person behind the counter laughed, pulled out a bottle of CoolWater and let me smell it. Coolwater smelled horrible, not even close.
Love this show and it's best down to earth knowledge and truth about fragrances. So the knowledge Stephen has he has the best communication of fragrances.

I heard about Armaf club intense de nuit and it was in my shopping cart online ready to purchase, and this video totally sold me on blind buying it. Thank you for your videos they are always so well put together and as a newbie to fragrances I really appreciate the info.
Mont Blanc is pen and assessories company. There fragrances smell so good and great. You are the person who made me make a decision to make blind buy and my mind was blown away by the performance this brand has given me.
Can you suggest other flankers that I should get Stephen within Mont Blanc lines?

Club de Nuit Intense Men (be careful, there are FOUR club de nuit from Armaf) may be as close as I ever get to Aventus. There is only one store anywhere near me that carries Creed. So I cannot compare but the Armaf is superb. The first time I wore it outside of home, I was stopped by a woman who asked for the name of it to buy it for her husband.

I just ordered Tres Nuit by Armaf, Silver by al Rehab and Mont Blanc Individuel. Went out on a limb because of your review, so I'll let you know how it goes.
They smell great. Wearing the Tres Nuit today at work and I love it. Silver by Al Rehab also smells wonderful; though the projection is not so great. For the price, I can't complain. Got compliments in a restaurant while going for lunch on the first day I wore it!

Mark Sheridan The opening doesn't have so much pineapple in my opinion. But after 15 minutes it's very hard to smell the difference. With this batch variation of Aventus this clone could be one of those.

Great video as always! I always thought people were exaggerating the similarities between Silver and SMW until i smelled SMW for the first time recently. To be honest, like yourself, i could barely tell the difference. This astonished me as my bottle of Silver cost me £5 and the Creed was going for £160! And that price goes down to £3 if you buy the roll-on. Aspen is also a really good alternative to GIT, although that one smells a little more like Cool Water to me.

I just got my bottle of Club de Nuit Intense man. It is amazing. The only difference is in the top note. Creed has a strong pineapple note and cdnim has a strong lemon top note. It's amazing tho. After 15 min or so the top note faded into a manly unique greatness that is Aventus. I'm so thankful for this review. I will be ordering several bottles of Club de Nuit Intense man. Green Iris Tweed sounds interesting also.

I smelled Aventus for the very first time today. I was blown away by how similar it smelled to my bottle of CDNIM. There is absolutely no reason for a man to spend 350 bucks on Aventus. CDNIM is nearly a perfect dupe!...and dare I say that I like the opening of CDNIM better than the opening of Aventus? O_O

Thanks for this series; would gladly like to see a Creed part 2 and update to Tom Ford alternatives too! Haven't tried Aventus but man CDNIM makes me feel awesome when I wear it. So versatile too! Glad to hear you think it's the best alternative out there.
UPDATE: I was able to acquire some samples of Aventus to compare against CDNIM. While Aventus opens fresher and fruitier, the dry downs are IDENTICAL. In fact, CDNIM is smokier sooner, projects further, and lasts twice as long (10-12 hours) on my skin!

Fabulous list and idea for a video series, especially to a Fumehead like myself. The odd thing with the Avenrus clones is I prefer the some of the clones over the original! They perform better on my skin.

The similarity is insane and dare I say the performance is better than Aventus which is saying alot! They are both economical alternatives to the Creed variants. I just ordered Armaf Derby Blanche White as it is suppose to resemble Silver Mountain Water.

One scent you could have in your collection, which is better than Armaf’s Tres Nuit (IMO), is Al Haramain’s L’Aventure Knight. Stunning scent and closer to Creed’s GIT (on my skin).

Thank you for this review. I ordered Club De Nuit and I hope to God it smells like Aventis. I ordered a very small sprayer of Aventis and it is hands down like Heaven in a bottle . The best cologne on the planet.

I'm always amazed at what other people think smells "so much alike". The biggest reason I buy Creed is because of what they do NOT contain: shrieking synthetic designer chemicals that smell cheap and irritate the nose and throat. I know Creed isn't all natural, but they use high quality synthetics.

Love your video!!! You are so right about armaf cdnim I bought a bottle for 42.00 on Amazon and smells great and will last up to 12 hrs plus. I just bought anothe bottle of cdnim for 24.00 on Amazon from a different seller and boy does it stink it doesn't smell anything like aventus and does not last at all. I guess it depends what batch number you get for cdnim I didn't realize they had batch numbers you need a flashlight to see it but it's there.
Md729 what is the batch number and which seller on Amazon did you purchase from?
Ha, Green Irish Tweed bottle fooled me to until I held it up to a light. It is actually a deep purple.
Al haramain l'aventure..pure dope as Aventus clone and I compared, l'aventure, Aventus and Club de nuit over a few weeks times. Club de nuit is still a close second in my humble opinion. Both are very good clones overall

Firstly, nice t shirt! Great vid!!! I've tried silver and it was like a clone, I dont like the inky smell of smw and this was the same lol but can't fault the copy. Tommy bahama imho is better than VIW, more lime and no coconut but cant be classed an alternative. I'm so glad you mentioned the erolfa clone, I love erolfa but can't get myself to pay more than I did for aventus for what it is. I already regret purchasing original santal for £100.
