Great video! As much as I like Aventus, I like Aventus Cologne even more. Not many people feel that way but it is a great summer fragrance and I get wonderful performance out of it.
Honestly Aventus Cologne has grown on me. If you have the money I feel like it’s a great option for summer. I really like the musky dry down 🤷♂️ it is “generic” not in a blue fragrance way but a citrus summer scent way but it smells like an extremely high quality citrus. Yeah almost embarrassed to say 😂😂 but I really like it
Royal Oud was my first Creed and it's still my favorite. I'm also a huge fan of BdP and GIT. Royal Water is another love and Royal Mayfair rounds up the five Creed's in my collection. I will most likely get a bottle of Viking sometime in the future but I'm not in any hurry at current prices ;)
Your review is right on the money in terms of Top 10 order, I agree with everything on the list except Creed Viking which is one of the most potent fragrances i have tried, might even be considered slightly offensive by some if worn in a public setting. My personal top 5 creed list is 1. Royal Oud 2. Spice and Wood 3. Bois Du Portugual 4. Silver Mountain Water 5. Himalaya

When i tried RO it was SO familiar - went home and smelled all my bottles -> Gucci Pour Homme 2. Haven't worn it in years but I had a couple of bottles from when it discontinued. They were initially more tea and spice forward and the cedar was much quieter. But now aged, they are cedar bombs like RO. Wore them side by side recently and they are so close.

I've tried to make Creed work very hard, in the last nine months I bought 3 bottles including Royal Water (I like it but no one else does), Aventus (Smells NOTHING like the incredible sample I tries prior to bottle purchase), Aventus Cologne (1 hour and a half of performance before it fades)... I've sampled almost every creed including those from the prive line and I will say this: Creed is the most elegant, classy brand I've ever smelled fragrances from. BUT. Their performance and inconsistency leaves a bit to be desired, so I sold my Aventus and Aventus Cologne, I actually finished Royal Water, and now I've switched to the house of Parfums de Marly and couldn't be happier. I don't need a massive fragrance collection to be happy, I have a rotation of 3 which fulfills my needs. My bottles are Herod (Sensual, sweet, good for winter and nights), Greenley (Fruity, fresh, good for summer and daytime) and Layton Exclusif (Rich, invigorating, it is cold weather scent that has serious mass appeal). The common denominator with Marly is all their fragrances perform VERY WELL. All of my PDM bottles smell exactly like their sample too and they all have some sort of mass appeal factor whereas I feel many Creed bottles only please their owner to an extent. Creed has several mass appealing fragrances but in my entire 75ml bottle of Royal Water I got equal the amount of compliments to a Herod bottle I just cracked open and sprayed a few times.
Greenley smells beautiful in the opening and mid with that tart apple and violet accord but the dry down smells like screechy, salty chemical sludge. That is what you get for trying to create maximum performance. You lose the beauty. Creed wouldn't sacrifice beauty for performance. It's so disappointing to ruin a good fragrance because Greenley would have been an easy buy.
Great review Deep rich heavy Creeds are Bois Du Portugal, and all are vaulted that follows: vintage Tabarome, Acier Aluminum, Royal English Leather and Orange Spice.
Royal Mayfair and Royal Water are 2 of my favorites, both are so underrated. Mayfair's eucalyptus is very love or hate so I understand its polarizing nature. I want to get Royal Oud at some point to go with those 2 and my 50ml of Aventus.
Great ranking! I have not smelled that many, only about five or six, but from those Royal Oud was to me indeed the best smelling. It was also quite surprising for me, with a name like "royal oud" I thought it was going to be a challenging unbearable bomb in the face, yet it was so mild and elegant, really sophisticated smelling, very surprising. Great indeed!
I’m not a huge fan of Creed however I own many of their fragrances and I recognize the significance of Creed to niche perfume. I have many of their fragrances that I bought when I first got into the hobby of fragrance. I totally get your take of Aventus Cologne as well. I own it bit don’t feel it’s needed. I still wear GIT:-) It’s the OG of blue fragrances in my opinion. I love Silver Mountain Water and still wear it in the warmer months. It’s almost Inky to me if that makes sense. Viking is actually my most complimented fragrances. I’m very surprised that it is but people absolutely love the way it smells on me. Royal Oud is absolutely my favorite from the house as well. I was getting nervous that Royal Out wasn't going to be on the list! One of the best, no doubt! The dry down, once that "green quality" fades out is unreal. This just screams class!
Your absolutely correct! It has a cigar/dry tobacco smell. I’ve said it before... a true tobacco frag in my opinion. My husband collects pipes and cellars tobacco. Also collects cigars. He doesn’t get all these fragheads saying this and that are tobacco frags. He says “if you mean heavily cased, cavendish cheap tobacco then yeah.”
IN Europe Creed is cheap, you can get 50 Ml Aventus for 180 Euros. But I rather spend my money on a house such as Serge Lutens , Diptique, Maitre parfumeur at gantier .
No I don't think it's your favorite brand. I believe you have mentioned that in passing a couple of times. It's not my favorite either not even top 10. I find most of them very simplistic and bland. Sometimes that's not a bad thing. Also they are so incredibly expensive for what you are getting. Just my opinion.
The house seemed to have settled for lower quality and inconsistent batches. The longevity and projection is unacceptable for a $300 price tag. Specially when DUA, Parfums Vintage, Scentual Obsession and Alexandria Fragrances are coming up with longer lasting scents.
I love Aventus Cologne. Regular Aventus is the King. Best niche fragrance in the game. Aventus was “ground breaking” when it came out. That’s why there are hundreds of clones of it. No other fragrance can make that claim.

Royal Oud 🙏🙌 couldn’t agree more, wonderful scent I’m on my 2nd bottle. I had the Millessime 1st, and the new bottle doesn’t quite match up, however that might be due to its ‘young’ age… we will see. Still lovely though. Spice and wood on the list now… 🙂
My top 5 still the same! From 1-5, S&W, Royal Oud, GIT, BdP and Aventus. But their new citrus trilogy looks awesome, especially Green Neroli. If the performance is there, I have high hopes for the brand making a generous comeback.
I love the Aberdeen Lavender. I like the White Amber which I bought at Costco at a discount. That was a good “best of” list. I tried the Vetiver and Geranium and want to try again..I liked it a lot.

When you smell Creed fragrances you can't say wow it's very normal for me specially it's very pricey. With the same price I can get a lot of fantastic fragrances

I tried Aventus, Green Irish Tweed, Original Vetiver, Silver Water Mountain and Millessime Imperial. I was very curious about this house since so many TH-camrs praise it so much. I couldn't be more disappointed. Creed smells so generic and all of them have this piercing smell that reminds me of after shave. They don't smell classy or expensive at all. The only one I find ok was Silver Water Mountain but wouldn't buy any. Guess Creed isn't for me.

You may not think of Aventus as grounbreaking but that's only because it's been hyped and cloned to death. In 2010 it was groundbreaking.
Aventus is great, but royal oud is at a different level. Now I'm layering original vetiver with royal oud,all i can say is WOW.

Original Vetiver is the best-smelling one I've tried yet but the performance isn't very good.

AOud Perfum from Roja is very similar but oud is more present. But Royal Oud has a perfect balance🥰

Out of the ones I’ve tried Royal Water is my favorite. Original Santal is great too.

I agree with you on Vétiver geranium! I looooove it too! But for that price they need to make it stronger
I tried Aventus, Green Irish Tweed, Original Vetiver, Silver Water Mountain and Millessime Imperial. I was very curious about this house since so many TH-camrs praise it so much. I couldn't be more disappointed. Creed smells so generic and all of them have this piercing smell that reminds me of after shave. They don't smell classy or expensive at all. The only one I find ok was Silver Water Mountain but wouldn't buy any. Guess Creed isn't for me.
I liked Bois du Portugal, but yeah it also smells like old man :D So you gotta like that.

I get a smell of opening a fresh can of chewing tobacco ,used in south Asian countries..which you mentioned as burnt tobacco.
Spice and wood my favorite really needs to be richer like you said but it is tooooo expensive for it not to be deeper and richer. Royal Oud is my # 2
