I myself was still a kid when the show was revived. He was my Doctor though. Although I also loved Tennant, there was just something so magical in Eccleston. He made the Doctor feel so real, so down to Earth. You can forget you're watching tv and really feel like the second companion.

Makes me so happy that Chris has healed from his negative history with DW and is doing conventions. The fact that he said DW fans saved him at a low time just shows the power this community can have and im so happy he's started doing audio adventures. Maybe we'll get him in a multi-doctor adventure soon.
I’d like to think this was a real moment of healing for Chris, where he got to see that he was truly able to bring something remarkable and special into the world that let someone like Matt have the experience of a lifetime. That his Doctor really MEANT something, even as he went through what he did with the BBC. We never thought he’d touch the role again, but here he is with the Time Lord Victorious. I know he’s saying he’ll never reprise the role for the small screen, and his mental health comes first, but there is a bit of hope there that wasn’t there before.

I say top 3 doctors were 10. 11. 9. in that order, Im rewatching, and the 9th doctor acting is amazing, they are all good in their own way, and do a FANTASTIC job at playing their roles. since the 9th doctor only had one season, he cannot be higher than 10 and 11, but he still did and fantastic job!.

Chris helped introduce Dr Who? to a whole new generation and to bring back previous generations, myself included. He's vital to the Dr's time line but also an outstanding actor, this man should be as celebrated and congratulated as ALL the Dr's rightly deserve.

Chris was the perfect person to revive the show, he had all the elements of the Doctor that makes them who they are and portrayed that perfectly, he helped drag the show upwards and off into space, and did it fantastically, leaving Tennant to carry the torch and progress the show further. Honestly having Tennant back as the Doctor is probably going to make the show so much better, and people will hopefully love it, I personally can't wait

I love how Christopher Ecclston kinda just walks off and Matt Smith who was already kinda just standing right there ducks into the crowd. I love how the actors really are the doctor, and the doctor is the actors, its beautiful. The way their roles are kinda in sync with their true selves is Wonderful, and thats why conventions are so cool with multiple doctor who actors, its no Jim Cummings doing a voice for a room of people, its the people who are also the doctor being who they are and playing that up a bit for the sake of their fans, its awesome, its wholesome, and its only one part of doctor who that makes it incredible

During the shooting of the 5-th aniversy Tom Baker (the best doctor, no arguments) said that Matt was the only one to take time to talk to him and greet him properly, the rest of the BBC did nothing. If it wasnt for them the BBC wouldnt have been so big, and if they banded together they could really ruin the BBC.
While the group has grown, there are still less than 20 people who have truly played the Doctor in the entire world, and some of them are no longer with us. That bond is one that can't be understood by anybody but them, even if they haven't met.

I have found that the writers and directors associated with gender swap roles don't tend to be good writers. Missy was well-handled. But Jodie was not.

I like to think this is a common occurance for the doctor, meeting any one of his previous incarnations. they've been through this situation so many times that they just say hiya to eachother, have a small chat then leave, like seeing a mate when you're out.
