    Good to see you back again. make sure to clean or replace your van's air filter and cabin filter after you cross the desert they must be really dirty if not completely clogged with sand so far.

    The material of those buildings is called kaahgel, keeps cool in summer and warmth in winter. And it's cheap to produce repair and great insulation

    You should visit zareostrian Fire temple (Atash kade) aswell as fireplace (Atash ga), the old persians used to pray by Fire, a symbol of gods holyness, and they would fire a huge torch on peak of mountains so it would glow during the night's so people who lived by the mountains would feel that fire is always alive, if you visit so m of the mountains you find a huge fire place.

    By the way, that building that you thought was just a wall was actually a place to reach the water. We call it "āb Anbar". The stairs normally ended up to water tap in the old days.

    They mix straw with the mud so when the mud dries up, it won't crack. It's kind of like steel bars inside concrete.

    Hey guys - did you buy the Carnet de Passage to temporarily import your van into Iran? we've heard it's 5x the vehicle value? and research suggests for us British we would have to have a tour guide with us the whole time. Any advice or knowledge on this from your experience with the visas/vehicle? I know you are from Norway so rules may be different but any advice is helpful! thanks
