  • We are back after missing a week. We kick it off with an interesting comment on one of our videos, essentially saying passive drilling is worthless. Chris, Bill, and Olivia work through that comment and push back and forth a bit. Also Chris talks a bit about an upcoming series about shoulder injuries that we will be releasing. Also an unusual scenario with a listener potentially getting discharged from the Navy.

The biggest pitfall that I've had so far is beating myself over unmet expectations and giving up because of that. For example, I set a plan to train 3-4 times a week and I had a good pace for a few months. The moment I had to skip a couple weeks due to injure it took me a month to really come back and train consistently. I just felt like a failure and thought it was all pointless now.
Another pitfall is being overwhelmed with all the information out there and not knowing what to focus on technique/position wise and being stack in a mental paralysis and not being intentional during training session and open rolls.

Xlear nasal spray has helped me a ton. Has xylitol. Bacteria eat it but can't absorb it so starve to death. Not sure what the doc has to say.

The statement is not preposterous or bullshit. Drilling is useless.
Do you take guests? Rob Cole, Kabir Bath, Chris Paines, Priit Mikhelson, Scott Sievewright, Greg Souders can all discuss the concept more in depth so the strawman doesn't get too big.
Elbows Tight and Forever White Belt have had a number of them on if you want to research it on your own.
A massive decision tree is not an effective way to navigate the world. For the in depth science you can start with Rob Gray. He can address the objection about basketball, volleyball, etc. They are switching to EcoD.
Are motor patterns actually a thing? Don't they only apply to a very specific scenario and rapidly collapse if the variables change?
AOJ? Appeal to authority much? Bad argument.
As for heroin, you can talk to Dr. Hart for a contrarian take.
First interaction with y'alls channel so sorry I'm being a litlle b* from the jump.
