Only (and legit) way to measure the real value of bitcoin, is to price in bitcoin.
1 bitcoin is equal to 1 bitcoin which is the highest value it may get.
Corrupt fiat is not valid pricing mechanism.
Anything can seems to be going up, as fiat causing itself to go through hollowing process...

It’s not a “how to” or “bitcoin for dummies” it’s two guys well versed in bitcoin and finance discussing the state of lending, risks and rewards. If you’re not interested, don’t understand financial terms like collateral, rehypothecation, custody, etc and don’t understand multi-sig, then of course it’s all gonna be Greek to you.
Bitcoin has so many features that make it unique and an asset class of its own that the main thing people need is to hear about it over and over again stated lots of different ways by different people. That’s what this is and there’s a tremendous amount of information here if you’re interested in learning.

18:00 “Bitcoin is fractal.” Love this. Similar price, hash rate patterns at different scales. Well done. This answers George Gammon’s question, “…how does a BTC world generate yield?” The good news is credit can be collaterized to reduce risk premium to levels close to zero. But because of price volatility, it’s understandable that loans based upon BTC must be over-collateralized.

Thank you for the mindblowing podcast! Thanks to you dear Preston and Max, I feel like my bitcoin investment thesis finally gets shape and essence, ‘cause it
was purely based on faith and sympathy in bitcoin before. ‘though I wanted to reflect on one particular point which Max raised. It was about yield generation in Bitcoin. He said everyone can buy bitcoin, put it in hardware wallet and wait 4 years to generate yield. If someone bought bitcoin back in December’17 at 20K $ then 4 years later he/she would have enjoyed Bitcoin at 46K $ in Dec’21, that’s given. However, one year later, in Dec’22, her/his yield would have gone away with the Bitcoin at 16K $. It doesn’t sound like a yield generation to me at all, does it?

Having a "3rd party company" generate a multi-sig wallet, that I send my btc to is full of risk.
How about I do the multi-sig and send keys out to the relevant holders, at least I can be sure of that part.
Even when a proper verifiable multi-sig is done, having 50% over collateralized, and paying interest at a rate between 14% - 20% pa on the loan is so bad I wouldn't touch it.
We have a long way to go before this is mature enough to use securely and with enough financial benefit to the borrower.
    Wake me in 8 years.

I hate rehypothecation for it introduces systemic risk and it circumvents Bitcoin's scarcity. However, the volatility of Bitcoin has been dropping so that traditional lenders MIGHT not get destroyed as has happened every other time in the past when bitcoin drops 80 percent and there is a run on the store and the lender didn't have your bitcoin readily available for it was lent out to short sellers. With that model, they get destroyed with heavy volitility but with the muted drawdowns we've experienced this cycle, they might not get baked. I'm not advocating for traditional lending for I like the over collaterilization multi sig approach, I'm just saying we can't assume the big boys would get wrecked as quickly or with the same certainty as before when the liquidity pool was shallower and volatitlity higher.

since btc is deflationary i dont want my btc collateral to be ever liquidated no matter the price instead i would like to borrow and never payback ... i dont mind having my btc in perpetual collateral so as long as i dont see that i am not going to collateralize it... on the the other hand we can borrow to infinity following this concept like if we think btc is going to 1m in 10 years for example then im happy to collaterize and borrow 1500% on my btc with a current price at 70k... that will change the world in terms of speed of progress and innovation cause it will open the gates of fiat money ofcourse this can only happen if the banking system will tolerate it...but i believe its gonna happen

Influencers should talk more about other Bitcoins,
BTC obviously, but also discussing Bitcoin Cash which shares the same genesis block as BTC, same 21M total supply, same halvings and the same miners.
There is a place for cheap, fast L1 transactions and priced at 2016 Bitcoin range BCH could provide investors with a long term opportunity.
Much like BTC the recent halving of BCH has reduced the newly mined coins to only 450 a day, the potential upside for holding a few and sitting on your hands for a few halving's isn't something BTC channels are prepared to discuss with their audience.
