I put up hay with my uncle who had a Henry loader. Dad bought it at his sale after his death, and we used it for years. It had a habit of buckling the bales going up the chute. Likely the bales were too light. Dad put 2 2X2 boards on the outside of the front pan which helped. I bought one 10yrs ago and never used it. Hope to this year. Im going to coat the insides and the gatherer tubes with cheap vegetable oil so as to decrease friction due to rust

Nice! Our bailer John deere bailer pops them out the back and we stack them from there. Seems like you might mess your shoulder up with that thing. Is it meant to be used with a Bail cage?
I have no idea what a ball cage is but our baler kicks them out the back as well. The pop up loader then scoops them up and if you leave the bale at the top the next bale will drop it down so your shoulder isn't really used. However, RJ gets impatient and likes to pull them off. He says it builds his muscles .... And he doesn't control the free fall .... LOL
Those work a lot better hooked to a flatbed truck. I have one also.
OkieRob we don't have a flatbed truck but we use it with our trailer and it does great ... Some of our customers use it and load huge flatbed trailers as well .... It is better then throwing thousands of bales by hand .... Lol
Back when i was a kid, that's all there was to do to earn money during the summer. Most people had an old flatbed truck to haul hay. That was before round bales.
Yes Sir, my hubby and son have both hauled for Money Now we only take care of our own ... LOL ... We have a video called hay hauling that shows how we use it
