I think it’s incredibly important for children to be multilingual. Especially if they’re of two different races/nationalities. Children are all about communication in their first few years of life. Being able to incorporate both is important. We live in Chicago. My husband speaks more Spanish than English while I speak English, Spanish, and a little Korean as my grandmother is Korean. I try to speak to my kids in each language every day. One day, I’ll only speak to them in Spanish, the next English, and the third Korean. Kids are like sponges and they absorb information quickly. Of course, immersion is very important as well.

Silo Green yeah, it kinda sucks William can’t speak fluent English(like naeun with German) but I think Sam mentioned that he wanted to raise his kids as Koreans

muppeteer naeun speaks German because her mother’s Korean isn’t that good. Sam is fluent in both Korean and English. He should be teaching his kids both since it’s obvious his own mother doesn’t speak Korean. It only makes sense. Plenty of Koreans learn to speak English during school so maybe the kids will pick it up there

@@shiloh8734 sam does teach them both, he says when the cameras are off he mainly speaks in english to them and lets yumi speak the korean. its just that this is a korean show so even in australia he speaks korean (at least for the parts that are aired)

English is my second language. I never learned English in my younger years and only learned it at school. WillBen are all good. They have plenty time to learn English. It's okay to start strong with one mother tongue first and then from there they can build up other languages. They are doing just fine.

@@debbie.c true. I am just happy that even though will is not that fluent in English he still understand and learning. He speak for like 2 words in English and mix korean which i find it cute. Ben too is so cute 🤗🤗
