I have AVP 2.x if I upgrade to AV3, Do I need to upgrade my Autopano Giga 4.x too?

No you don't, we didn't release a new Autopano Giga version. Autopano Video 3.0 works with Autopano Giga 4.4 :)

So basically from last version the only new feature is metadata, quick preview in VR, need batch options and some optimization GPU assisted computation? I'm not pessimistic, I just want to know what to test in my current workflow. Thank you.

The main new feature is D.Warp, compatible with any rig with 3 cameras or more.

I downloaded Autopano Video3 and installed it. Open software always has a software crash dialog box. My computer system is macOS Sierra. Version number 10.12.6. What's the reason? Hope reply! Thanks!

Hi I am thinking of buying either APP or APG but I am new to panaromas. My question is which would be best suited for me? I understand APG has more functions, could I upgrade from APP to APG at a later date if I needed more options?
    Many thanks
    John

Hi John, you can begin with APP and upgrade to APG anytime by only paying the price difference. APG mainly brings more control on HDR and a manual masking tool for overlapping areas.

How well is the AVP 3 working with Mac 2017 and its rendering speeds?

Hey, we haven't tested on the very latest Macs, but the improvements in rendering speeds are not incredible on Mac as the main hardware usage optimisation has been done for NVidia graphic cards (Cuda rendering engine). And the improvements are mainly drowned out by the fact that warping requires more computing power. this means that rendering speeds haven't evolved much on MacOS.
