Yes it will prevent chipping on rockers which will lead to rust

how long or how many years it will last on open sun & rain exposures?
Monstaliner is 100% UV stable so it will hold it's appearance just like automotive paint. Basic maintenance procedures should be followed such as washing with non abrasive cleaners and tools and a coat of wax never hurts
