I lived at the faux log cabin house as care takers of the John Alden house as a child for about ten years. There was a small hall beside our house beside the John Alden house that had a grand piano in it. There was an old clay tennis court beside that. I used to ride my little sting ray bicycle all over the property and I had many lawns I used to mow of million dollar homes around the town and made great money as a child. My name is Joseph Michael Freeman and my dad the care taker of the grounds was Roger Bradford Freeman. I love that place. I could tell you so many stories.
Several years ago, I was fortunate enough to have a private tour of this home. What a joy to see where my ancestors lived. I would love to return and spend more time there.
I'm a direct descendant of governor Bradford Freeman who came over on the Mayflower with John and Prcilla Alden. I'm so happy that I got to grow up there as a child. I've mowed that lawn more times than I care to remember. There is a wild strawberry patch behind the John Alden house and I've many a wild strawberry out of it as a kid.
So many fellow postings here and I’ll join the chorus that I also am a descendant of John and Priscilla Alden by their son Joseph who settled in Bridgewater. I’m a member of the Mayflower Society and Alden Kindred of America that manages the Alden house and property. I attended the Alden reunion held last weekend via Zoom as I couldn’t go in person. Great video and I hope to see it next year!
OMG. I'm a descendant of Joseph. I have never been to the reunion and would love to experience that. What a history. I need to see if there is anything new regarding the family in England.
Kool, I have heard about John Alden. he was not a pilgrim, but Priscilla was. John fell in love with her and followed her on the Mayflower. When the Mayflower Compact was signed, John Alden was the 7th signer. He then was the first man to set foot on Plymouth Rock. YAY John Alden. ~Direct Family Line Descendant

There are around 30 bloodlines extant from the 102 original passengers, because some died soon after arrival, while others came in family groups or married each other. Because families from the 17th through 19th Centuries tended to be large, there are over 30 million living Mayflower descendants. That's about equal to 10% of the American population.
They moved the original house to another site. The second story house at the end of the video. The path you walked was the path I used as a kid to walk to school each day.
My 11th great grandparents as well...my gg aunt got a Fan Chart and wrote in over 500 names ..earliest is in the 1400's..John and Priscilla are on that Fan Chart...in the 1600's...chart is written into the early 1900's..
Priscilla Mullins is my ancestor because my grandpa gim his last name is Mullins yea that may not be proof but I have her DNA because I did a test for it so YAY
I highly doubt we could ever find her definitive DNA. I went to the cemetery where John and Pricilla are supposedly buried but the story I was told is that they are not sure that is the exact burial plot.
