TRUCK WORKED ON: th-cam.com/video/JfOSgJD6Brw/w-d-xo.html This scan tool did a great job! VCX Nano: amzn.to/3npOxy4 Crankshaft Position Sensor: amzn.to/40MW9ZP I was able to program the computer to the new Crankshaft Position sensor. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Had a mechanic replace the sensor in my Blazer and it is now misfiring horrendously even just idling RPMs jump 500+ back and forth. He didn't seem to know anything about relearning. Will have to take it to someone with a proper scanner tool to try and relearn it and see if that improves the misfiring as it is not good now.
Just bought this VCX nano diagnostic tool man. I’m hoping that I’m smart enough to hook it up. Pull my computer out of the closet. That’s been set for three years. Gotta deal with it and then download this thing somehow anyway can’t wait to see if it works. I bought a nova 5610 and the thing did not work for my 2006 Chevy Silverado, so I sent it back and got my $400 back. It would be nice to get one piece of equipment that you can do everything with and not have to piece it out here and there and introduce different software today is the day to get this problem, finally fixed with the crank sensor.
I’m just doing this now with an Autel Maxicom MK808 and it’s not responding after I do the rev to 4000 RPMs. it just says “accelerate to wide open throttle release if fuel cut off occurs”. and that’s all I get to. 😢 if I keep trying it, it starts backfiring and misfiring at about 2500 RPMs. What am I doing wrong or not doing?
I replaced the computer in my 2003 Cadillac Seville SLS. I now need a scan tool for the crankshaft variation relearn procedure. In the video, I saw you choose F4: Crankshaft Pos. Variation Learn and then you said 4000 RPM. Did you just have the vehicle in park and step on the gas until you were at 4000 RPM and as soon as it was at 4000RPM it's done?
Yes, but if you don't follow the procedure exactly it won't work, and I accelerate fast. Pretty sure if you don't press on the brake it won't work either.
Usually you enable the function it will tell you to rev the engine until the RPM limiter kicks in. Then it will complete. I use a snap on D9 Apollo for this. Most of the times it will not run it if codes are present or engine isn't at operating temp.
What were the symptoms of your truck vefore you replaced it. Ive got rough idle in park and at stops. With no codes and of i drive it long wnough it will throw p0300 code and even qhen i clear it it atill has rough idle replaced plugs wires and packs. Tps maf purge valve and vent valve solenoid and its atill doing it. Could this be the crank shaft position sensor
I just had watched a youtube video of a guy that had the same symptoms as you with the p0300 on his 5.3l silverado. It turned out that his fuel injectors were plugged and that he needed a new fuel pressure regulator as well. That fixed it for him.
the "iLInk 400 tech 2 vident" is $156 brand new and I just watched a youtube video of a guy using it to do a crankshaft relearn on his GM Hummer. It worked great for him after he replaced his crankshaft sensor.

@ I followed the directions exactly and I did set the parking brake, because it told me to in the scanner . so maybe that’s why it didn’t work? Thank you so much for replying
@ I just tried it again without the parking brake set and it took the test, but it keeps displaying the same thing. Accelerate to wide open throttle release if fuel cutoff occurs. I did it again while it was saying that and it flashed test in progress.

I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THE FIX FOR THE PROTECTION MODE VIDEO... DOES IT WORK WITH A GMC DR44 ALTERNATOR TOO???
I did it on my DR44G. That was the alternator in the video. It's really just a temporary solution.

What windows version does the laptop need for this program to work?
I used Windows 10

Do we have to do a relearn when swapping out crank angle sensor too? Or are they the same part
My Hummer H2 has knock sensor codes sometimes. I have upgraded to oem harness and sensors. Any thoughts?
They are supposed to be torqued to 15ft lbs I believe. If you overnighten them they can read wrong. All I can think of.
@@MattsShop ty 4 follow up
How much does the software cost?
It came with mine.
@MattsShop do you work on a lot of Fords?
No, why?
@@MattsShop there's a pretty good program called Forscan for them. You should check it out.
I will, thanks!
HELP: I HAVE CHRYSLER 300, ? WOULD IT DO A RELEARN ON THAT CAR V6 3.5
no
Does it work on other vehicles or chevy only
It says it works on different vehicles. I only used it on Chevys. Other people said they had a hard time setting up, but it was pretty easy for me.
Question: I do you have to have internet but I down loaded USB that came with it.
that gadget is cheap compared to the competition
Yea! It shows you A LOT!

You gotta follow the procedure exactly. Also dont set the parking brake it won't work. It's only gotta hit 4000 RPM for a split second.
