Good format Barry. I like the discussion about the song ,artist and other interesting things. I didn’t see the previous quiz. This could be a winner idea. There are many songs and genres you could talk about, and the content has an intrigue as we don’t know what’s coming. Work on this idea more I say!
Well, got 5/10 this time. So I slightly redeemed myself after getting shut out on the last quiz. Good work as always. Your videos are routinely in the upper tier of what I've seen on TH-cam. If I ever finish my own record, I definitely wouldn't mind hearing your opinion about it. Good, bad, or ugly. Unfortunately, it's gonna have to wait a while longer. Life keeps interfering. Keep up the good work. Happy New Beer to you. Cheers.
4 complete and 2 halves (got the artist not the track) so technically that's 9/10. there are of course 3 types of people in this world - those who can count and those who can't...
3 out of 10 for me. Kind of a Brit-leaning classic rock quiz. I would bet about 10 radio stations in the US ever played Parklife. The Sex Pistols really didn’t get much play here either. Keep them coming!
Got the Lovin Spoonful, the Doors, and the Velvet Underground . Some others sounded familiar (“Space trucking”) but I couldn’t place them. Good fun ✌️😊👍
I breezed through the first six, then I hit a brick wall of songs I've never heard before by bands I don't care for. Still, better than the last quiz where I had never heard any of the songs before.
Nice to hear Brian Duffy and the boys on this list. I also saw them in the original days, but they are still a great live act! And still not much beats those four first albums!
Last quiz I got none and this one only 3 ... I know more about classic rock than everyone I know, but still, you beat me ... I know all of the bands on this quiz, but not these tracks I guess ... and between you and me, I wouldn't put Darkness or Blur as "Classic Rock" ... but it's your chanel, so I bow to your guidelines ;)
"Space Truckin'" was the very 1st thing I heard from DP. Sept 1972...Freshman year, school library Listening Room. The (stereotypical) librarian eventually figured it out & we got tossed out. I was hooked, however. Wore out my copy of MACHINE HEAD.
Good quiz, this one was a bit too easy for me though 10/10, in 26 years old , maybe do an easy one then a much harder one, I always like to discover new music
I could only answer four but got three of them right. I'm not sure we agree too much on the definition of 'classic rock' based on these tunes personally. Good fun though.
Blow your mind here, Mick Wall stated that Sunday Morning is actually sung by Lou Reed and NOT Nico as she didn't turn up to sing it and Lou had to fill in and do his best Nico impersonation, have another listen!🤯
I had to go check, I was sure it was Nico but I must have a live version in my mind. It is Lou and listening to a live version from 69 it is definitely him singing a lower more relatable key.
@@klcheshire middle sections, solos quiet passagaes, stuff like that, level one would be stuff like pink Floyd and yes. And then it could make it harder by going to bands like gentle giant, van Der graaf etc, that's what I would do if I had as many followers as him followers anyway.
Got 4 this time, hurray! Now that we're hooked could we have an hour long special with sub sections, solos, drum fills, album cover questions? Am I greedy?
@@hughaskew6550 Yep. I mean, Blur? Its a quiz I suppose, meant a test of range not rank, but for the word "classic" which means what - older than a decade, had charted higher than 5? I think "Intro" is the thing, an intro that is memorable enough to recall but tough to name - challenge!
I got Deep Purple, Lovin Spoonful and the Doors... I think that's it... So much for e being a classic rock expert... Mind you, some of those have no business being on a classic rock list. Blur, for example.
I got most of them this time, thank God. I can show my face in public again!
Half of these bands can't even see Classic Rock for miles.
Classic rock? Blur? I wouldn't can't half of these as classic rock.
And stranglers? I'd take blur over stranglers lol
"I wouldn't can't half"? Shurely shome mishtake?
@@StonefieldJim4 Well Done. You spotted a typing error. Give yourself a pat on the back.
Tis now, pal
I got 5, I demand a bonus point for only being 30 years old though.
Sure thing
Absolutely not! I'm more than twice your age and can't remember much of what happened in the um, um, what was I saying?
Cheers 🍻
I’m 26 I got 10
@@Oligodendrocyte139 hahha
A curate’s egg of a score:5/10.Very enjoyable quiz,however and I love the vignettes provided.Please keep ‘em coming.
Indeed, without the added input, it would be a very dull quiz with cheap clicks.
30% - better than I did at School
Got 3. I recognized two others but couldn’t put my finger on it. Can’t go wrong with great intros 👍
Better than me. Just 2 😂
I am terrible at these but I still enjoy the challenge. Keep them coming!
Enjoying your quizzes!
I quite like these intro quizzes, might do one a month
4 !!! Rejoice
Good format Barry. I like the discussion about the song ,artist and other interesting things.
I didn’t see the previous quiz.
This could be a winner idea. There are many songs and genres you could talk about, and the content has an intrigue as we don’t know what’s coming. Work on this idea more I say!
Got nine massive improvement over the last quiz
Many of these are far outside the usual definition of “Classic Rock”
Blur, Velvet Underground - there is nothing classic rock about that at all.
Summer In The City is a rock song? Beach Boys as well ? IMO they are Top 40 oldies.
Just got the last four, showing my new wave predilection.
This is fun and educational, more content like this 😊
that was fun, bring us more!
I'm loving this quiz episode.
6 out of 10 so not a total disaster this time! Thanks, Barry-keep the fun quizzes coming-cheers.
I got 7 right, I ddn't get the first two, and started to worry. Thanks for putting a couple punk classics at the end.
Well, got 5/10 this time. So I slightly redeemed myself after getting shut out on the last quiz.

As ELP might have put it: "Welcome back my friends, to a quiz about some bands, why not try your hand? get a score, be a god."
Only two! Must have been my trousers.
Great quiz. Thanks.
6/10. I got the first 5, then tanked until #10. Enjoyed the quiz!
Got 5. Better than the one the other day.. that was difficult!
Woohoo! I got 5 which is 5 more than I got on the previous quiz. I think She Sells Sanctuary and Another Girl, Another Planet are my favourite intros.
7/10. A massive improvement on the last quiz. Relieved 😅
4 complete and 2 halves (got the artist not the track) so technically that's 9/10. there are of course 3 types of people in this world - those who can count and those who can't...
Haha. Technically, it's 10 out of 20, if you ask me. just teasing.😉
I guess I’m a classic rock God. I got 100%. This quiz was way easier than the last quiz.
I’m impressed ⭐️
Six out of ten. Keep em coming Barrington!
Well do
7. Not bad. Better than the average music quiz down the pub
I got the first 5. After that, my radio days were over. Thanks for the post. 👍
Only got 2, 3,7 and 9, which is 4 more than the previous quiz.
7/10 which makes me a Rock God with a wooden leg and an eye patch, I suppose.
Ritchie Blackbeard?😉✌️🤘
50%, that was fun!
The Stranglers rule 🤘
Legends !!!
Never a truer statement...
Best channel on the interweb
6/10 keep them coming 😊!
3 out of 10 for me. Kind of a Brit-leaning classic rock quiz. I would bet about 10 radio stations in the US ever played Parklife. The Sex Pistols really didn’t get much play here either. Keep them coming!
A sad 3. Will my nightmare ever end?
I got 5. The punk bands did help.
6/10. I rather like these. I only got 2/10 on the last one, but I appreciate there is some variety and less obvious songs.
Today's date is 09/01/25 ,bonus question, what YES album should be played today?!
I have most of these. Some on Vinyl and Disc. Missed Blur and the darkness
Recognized four songs and got three correct. Getting better!
Got 5, happy as I only got 1 on the last quiz.
Good fun. I'm looking forward to more of these. Perhaps a free jazz version?
I got the first one right away… it’s the intro music and logo that you use at the beginning of all your videos.
Got the Lovin Spoonful, the Doors, and the Velvet Underground .
Some others sounded familiar (“Space trucking”) but I couldn’t place them.
Good fun ✌️😊👍
Classic
The same three for me ! A much better note of 3 (but not even 5).
Maybe you listen to some of the same stuff as I do :) ✌️
I am more into oldies than classic rock !
Ah! Got ya ✌️😀
I actually got 5 on this one, Missed out on the more recent ones, but a big improvement on the zero I got last time.
7.5 (half for picking love her madly as the doors track). Much more my level though I liked the esoterica tbh. Nice work
I breezed through the first six, then I hit a brick wall of songs I've never heard before by bands I don't care for. Still, better than the last quiz where I had never heard any of the songs before.
Yay, I did better than the first quiz, 5 out of 10 🤘
Nice to hear Brian Duffy and the boys on this list. I also saw them in the original days, but they are still a great live act! And still not much beats those four first albums!
Well, that was a game of two halves. Got 1 of the first 5 & all of the second 5.
Park life classic rock? Love it though.x
Another great video.

Missed a couple. Still, great selections!
Much more fun than the last quiz....I got about half
I got 3/10 - Numbers 1, 3, and 4. Still better than the 0/10 I got on your first quiz!
2/10 was waiting for Alright now by Free.
I was waiting for "Smoke on the Water"!!😆
4!!! Can the next quiz be Beatles Singles, or tracks from Dark Side of the Moon…
Well, I needed that after the humbling experience of your last challenge. Still only got 1/2.
I like Tull intros, Living in the Past, Witch's Promise and Teacher are pretty good.
I'd get 10/10 probably!
@@GeoffCBgood lad!
Do A metal one. The metal fans love a music quiz.
Noted
I did get 50%. My wife was sufficiently impressed that I got The Wizard.
A 100% improvement on the previous quiz from 1/2 out of 10 to 1 out of 10 (Park Life - Blur)
10/10. That's more like it.
*0* for the first quiz and *4.5* (couldn't remember the title of the Velvet Underground track) out of this one. The only way is up?! 🤔
5 out of 10!!!
A few l knew the band but cdnt name the song...
Came home with a wet sail!!
Better than my last effort!!
1) Space Truckn'
2) Summer in the City
3) The Wizard
4) Touch Me
5) Be My Lover
6)
7)
8) Sunday Morning
9) Sweet F.A
10) Problems
Only 4 for me! Purple, Doors, Alice and Uriah Heep. Are the 70’s over Man? Oh woo!
I recognized 8, but could only name 5. Good quiz!!!
I got 7. I can live with that !!
A couple of these I didn't get until you named them, should have gotten a few more.
Got 3 and honestly, not surprised I didn’t get the rest as most of those bands I can’t stand.
Three! Three more than the last one!
An abysmal 2 … which is an improvement from yesterday when I scored approximately, er … none!
Better than the 1st quiz but only scraped 50%
Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, , The Darkness, Blur and The Stranglers!
That's two failed quizzes. Most of these songs I knew, but those intros....Keep 'em coming.
The only one I got was The Stranglers which I somehow just knew you were going to include!

I got two right. I am a bloody disgrace! More quizzes please. I'm new to your channel, I found it about 2 months ago and I'm very much enjoying it.
Same here! He’s hard 😊

60% for me, this time. More quizzes, I say!
@@klcheshire we need 10 second clips of songs from progressive rock epics or something like that. That would be a good idea. Baz!
@FormulaProg Yes, that would by good. Intros or from the middle of songs?
You can only get away with 5 second clips on TH-cam to avoid issues with copywrite

3/10 today, better than my bagel yesterday

0 on the first quiz, 4 on this. Oh the shame!
Knocked it out of the park(life) with a solid 4!
"what were these guys on?"
Yes.
This reminds me of the WKRP episode with the contest naming the 10 songs in 10 seconds
Only got 3. Recognised the Blur song but could not think who it was. Maybe a little longer intros on the next quiz?
