Assemble your new OEM BMW G82 M4 LCI Flat bottom Steering wheel

- Learn how to assemble from start to finish the new BMW LCI flat bottom steering wheel from the new G82 M4 LCI model.
In this video, we show you how you can assemble yourself this OEM steering wheel including all parts (except the airbag, that would be added once the wheel is installed in the vehicle).
Our customer opted for the leather steering wheel with the red 12 o'clock striping, gloss carbon fiber trim, and our new magnetic carbon fiber paddle shifters.
If you are retrofitting these wheels you don't need to purchase all the parts shown in the video, some of them could be transferred over.
All parts shown in this video are brand new, genuine BMW parts (except our paddle shifters 😉).

This is one upgrade I really would like to make on my LCi X3M Competition. Is it available with both DAP functionality and Heating?

any chance install on a m8?
Probably not, if even, you'd need to install everything, even change the airbag.
How much for Leather, DAP and Heated or Non Heated assembled? Ready to install. I don’t want heated, but I have the heated option now. Do you have to code? I want to keep DAP.

If installing the LCI wheel on a pre LCI G8x with wheel heating, will it cause a fault code because there is no heater switch on the LCI wheel?
No it will not, since BMW released some wheels that supports heating (given you install one with heating). There is even a full alcantara one with heating available.
@@paddleshifterz Thanks for responding. I’m aware that heating is available on the LCI wheels but there is a heater button on the pre LCI but not on the LCI wheels.
@@tonyhall2336 yea I also wonder if I install that on my PRE LCI then how would I turn on heating? 😂 I don't think that retrofit is going to work...the only was is to go aftermarket with the same looking wheel but they do put the heating button on the wheel so you can still turn the heating on
@@MartyNguyen611 there may be a way, you can currently set the heated wheel to switch on automatically when outside temperature drops below a preset temperature, this feature may also work with the LCI wheel???
is there a specific part number for the rear cover? my car is a manual. would the rear cover need extra parts in place of the auto paddles?

Or wait till the manual version of these wheels are available. Currently BMW doesn't have an ETA for them unfortunately.
can you fit this one into an X4 M40i?
You might be able to, but you also need to get a new airbag, and probably do some coding.
