Vector Texter development

This is a software oscilloscope recording of a personal research project using Processing and the XYscope library. I am sequencing text (a summary of Black Box theory) and creating output to show on a vector display (oscilloscope in XY mode or ILDA laser). 3 separate text treatments are mixed on the fly. As the separate treatments are rendered they are mixed to an audio stream producing interesting phased distortion of type. What you hear is what you see - the XYscope library encodes vector animation in Processing to a stereo audio field which can be input (as raw voltage) to a 2 channel oscilloscope running in X-Y mode (or run inside the computer using Blackhole on macOS like this). It looks especially beautiful on an old analogue oscilloscope in real life. The plan is to develop this work for public performance and installation.
