I don't think he did. He may have dropped the accent, but I can totally see Peter Pan getting enthusiastic at something funny and asking for more. I actually think that, even while he was dumbstruck, his facial mimicry and his movements were perfectly in character (although I'm not sure he was acting or it was his genuine reaction lol).
