The IDT C6 Winchip is basically a 486 with a 66mhz FSB instead of 33mhz FSB when it comes to Pentium era gaming.

Intel's FPU was more advanced than the others.

There is also a IDT Winchip 2 (3,52V), better option for old Socket 5/7 mainboards with a single voltage. This CPU has also AMDs 3DNow! and a much better FPU performance than the previous IDT Winchip C6.

Yes, I've tried to get hold of one to test, but prices with shipping are expensive. If I understand correctly the WinChip 2 formed the basis of what was eventually released as the VIA Cyrix III.

My 486 DX33 runs Doom better than the Winchip 😧

The WinChip doesn't seem to be well optimised for gaming. It would of course run faster at its correct clock speed of 225MHz. I have another video comparing 233MHz CPUs running Quake and Doom, and included the 225MHz WinChip as it's very close to 233MHZ.
I'll have 100MHz 486s from Cyrix, AMD and Intel edited and uploaded in the coming weeks.
