Some saying engine not big enough or fast enough etc, but its NOT a sports car is it ? If you want a big fast SUV, get a BMW X5M or something. If I won a competition that said I can choose any car I want, but on one condition, im not allowed to ever get rid of it. this would be a very sensible choice because at least I know it would last forever, even through a zombie apocalypse. I saw a Land Cruiser for sale a few years ago, only 3 years old, on a 14 plate or something, it was local authority owned and had over 300,000 miles on the clock with full history. Still going strong. This is what this car is all about.

For an offroader it's quick enough. You can still overtake people like any normal car can. I'd take this over any new X5 or Q7.

1GD-FTV 2755 cc (2.8) Turbodiesel, that's good engines. In my country too (Indonesia) Toyota Hiace using same engine like this car. Fortuner, hilux, innova in my country using 2393 cc (2.4) with Variable Nozzle Turbodiesel

Unfortunately, the one offered in our shitty country still comes with the older 3.0l turbodiesel and not this engine.
@@johnsenior6032 not really sir. The 3L that we have in our market is the original one rated at 163hp/420nm and also
5-speed a/t. That's why a lot of us are disappointed about it.
@@johnsenior6032 the version in your market is probably tuned down so that's why it feels that way. Btw, this engine is also present in the new hilux and it's direct suv counterpart called the fortuner/hilux sw4.
@@johnsenior6032 Bro am from Kenya and I drive a 2021 Prado 150 1GD engine 6speed transmission it has 204HP and 500NM. Bought it at Toyota Kenya. Kenya has the 2.8L upgrade since 2019 it has been there.

Seems a little bit hard to control in the corner. Did this vehicle have the kdss system? And the power of this disel engine is really poor, the 4.0 gas engine maybe much better?
Torque is really good, if you want a better 0-100 time go for the 4.0L, but this one provides a good amount of torque at lower rpm
This vehicle isn't about speed and power anyway. It's about go anywhere capabilities while being luxurious at the same time. Although admittedly, it only has adequate power for its weight.
It's already has the kdss system
some ecu remap or racechip will be good too to add in this vehicle to raise HP and Nm

Zakia Okellouch it has two type of gas engine, 2.7cc and 4.0cc. Second one is much powerful enough
