Ever here of a canjo....My late Cousin came in from Tennessee one year and he had been to a flea market and there he found a canjo made from a beer can he learned like 5 songs on the ride out of Tennessee into Alabama 😎.... Never seen such a smile on someone's face. There was only one Jerry Lawson...He would loved this for sure.❤

The guitar he makes out of a Marvel Mystery Oil can is what brought me to Justin. I still use Marvel in all of my combustible engines, used in oil and gas and can be used in diesel too!

Most handles/necks on a Garden Spade Shovel will be Hickory, Ash or Eucalyptus wood. Pine usually won't give much strength or sustain which is why its not used for necks or shovel handles.
Oak is strong however not a very good tone wood for necks.
You've got me again tempted to run over to Home Depot in the morning to pick up a new D-Handle Garden Spade along with some aluminum stock. Then to Sam Ash before they close the local store to get some of the close out guitar electronics and tuners along with perhaps a small buskers amp.

Unbelievable playing and that shovel is so cool! Different shovels though? 2 tuners on top and one on the bottom, and the other shovel has the opposite .
