It totally makes sense that drier concealer is good for spot coverage. In an industry that loves to invent new categories (blush topper - lol ok) it is a surprise to me that concealers are expected to perform under eye brightening and spot coverage - two vastly different jobs.
The "my face hurts" and "I just want to not have wounds" got me lol. That's essentially been my life recently. Stress has my skin even worse than usual and it's outright painful. You've 100% sold me on this concealer btw
I have a lot of respect for how you take your breakout and find the positive perspective of it being a blessing to show us how to navigate similar issues! Thanks for modeling that mental shift ☺️
I love this! It would be fun to see you do this as a series trying other people's quick get out the door products. Like recreating a viewers everyday face.
If anyone wants a not glowy sunscreen that feels like nothing on the skin, I'd recommend the Japanese sunscreen UV super moisture GEL by Skin Aqua. It's the one with the white bottle and the gold top. I've been using it for years and love it! I have combo skin for reference.
AND im so glad of the Sephora collection recommendations you've been giving, the sheer shine lip is my every day now i love it, also the powder contour is fantastic ❤
i love the simplicity & effortless nature of this look ! i created my own sounds in my head while you were applying the concealer & blushes (boop boop boop for blush & bing bing bing bing for the concealer) hahaha 😂 i have combination skin & always wear powder, but only use concealer occasionally. when i do i tend to dab it over powder because it’s usually to cover marks or spots. this LE skintint is truly impressive- it’s amazing how every single time someone wears it onscreen you literally see the transformation into calm unified skin that looks like REAL skin. perfect in a real way vs an airbrushed way, simply incredible.
I ordered the Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint after you recommended it. And it’s incredible - I love it!! I’m not much darker than you are, but I’m T6. I’m glad I emailed them for a shade match - it was quick and easy and spot on, but I wouldn’t have picked the correct shade on my own based on the website pictures. And you do really only need two drops! It’s just so good.
My body is prone to eczema (my face oddly enough no issues) and I just tried the Prequel gleanser today and I have to say it made my skin feel amazing. All that glycerin feels great, washed my face with it too. Sort of amazing. Since I live in humid south Florida I hate putting on body lotion and my dry skin still feels soft. I tried the face balm last night as a last step and it felt great too.
I would love to see you reciew the Revlon Illuminance foundation. Drugstore isn't your usual thing but I think it's way up your alley and it holds up to my high end favs!
Thanks, just snagged me a Jouer concealer in Creme. I so need this for under eyes and a cheek thingy that I've been using color corrector sticks on, but this looks so much better than those, or RMS Uncoverup that doesn't "stick" to the blemish.
Oh man I wanted to love salt New York sooo bad. Unfortunately it did no favors for me 😭. So glad it worked for you because the concept needs supporting!!!
I've been doing the blush-to-blend-redness tip from your old video for a while now! It makes it easier to be less fussy and controlled about my complexion. Incidentally I started contouring with muted blush colors for that reason- anything more grey or tan is kinda muddy over my inevitably pink complexion unless I do a lot more coverage.
Have you ever tried the MAC pro longwear concealer? It’s super thin and like, bullet proof. Similar like a drier (but not too awful) dry down, high coverage classic and I find it makes my skin look so nice even when I am in the throes of hell acne or sensitivity. My skin is a lot like yours. Very dry, and sensitive, acne prone. I literally scuba dove in it a few times and came up looking like, ready for the day somehow? Idk you might hate it or you might love it.
Omg that jouer blush and color is my favorite! Nikki la rose recommended it awhile back and I was hooked. The only thing I don't like is sometimes it disappears pretty quickly. But the color is second to none for my skin
@@kackie OMG her brushes are something special!!! Surprisingly I've really liked her skin recommendations too. However I know your skin is the bane of your existence. I just started tretinoin a week ago and seriously was glad you recommended prequel because having it on hand has been my one life raft. Honestly would love any of your skin recommendations because if anyone knows what it's like to have high maintenance skin it's you. Also, it's truly special how you take the time to respond in the comments. You're so good to your followers! Appreciate you and your chaos gem goddess energy. Omg if you had aa warm and cool bedroom eyes pallet you could name them after your sun and moon signs or something. Then just have a chaos pallet for your rising sign.
I can never ever find a good color match for my skin. I think I finally figured out I'm not cool or warm exactly. I'm more olive I think. I got the T5 shade in the Lisa Eldridge skin tint which was described as cool olive. Wowzer! So good. I do have some redness in my skin from acne and rosacea so I think it calms that down and seems to just even things out and I do what you did. Just add concealer in the places I still need it. I just ordered a new bottle of it so I never go without it. Well, until the next best thing comes along. Now that I realize I do well with olive undertones I can branch out in that way instead of what I've been doing for the last forty or so years. Ugh. Love your videos. Very informative and I always love how your skin looks. You don't go heavy on the base makeup. I feel as I'm older now, the less the better. Great job! ❤
I have always had the most sensitive and difficult skin and it changed completely after menopause. Now I barely need concealer and a dab of powder with a good moisturizer and sunscreen. One more great thing about menopause - celebrate it, ladies!
I haven't reviewed it because I'm not a fan and I don't want to make a big deal out of that. It's too thick for my taste and both shades I have lean green. I prefer the sneaky balm.
I rarely had a blemish in my younger years. But... In my fifties now and my skin has become the enemy! I've got blemishes, oimpkes un my eyebrows, under the chin, nise crease... Ugh. But im also fighting dry spots in other areas! And, i am also on antidepressants. I never equated that with my picking fixation before!
I'm shocked you don't already shop on Olive Young, I feel like you would love it because they have so many products and higher end brands. I've been loving the jung saem mool artist eye palettes- they were made by a makeup artist for different undertones in brown eyes to make them pop
Absolutely love this! So pretty. Also, I've been looking through your videos to get your earring/plug recommendations? They are always so pretty. Could you share what type of plugs you use? ( from one stretched ear millennial to another 😊)
It's hard to compare, it's like...the LE has a range of 1.5-4, Prada is 4-5, Danessa is like 4-6.5 (lol) but it's like we need a new metric for "presence" on the skin, like if we were to go magic schoolbus style and measure the height of the product on the skin, the LE is SO THIN. it's hard to even explain how thin it is.
You’re so beautiful no matter the state of your skin. I struggled with breakouts for 20+ years until I was recommended to go on Spironolactone by my doctor. I’m on the lowest dose. No side effects. And I’ve had clear skin for the past 3 years. Life changing!!!! It’s worth looking into.
This is pretty much how I wear my makeup everyday come summer and it looks so light and fresh. Sometimes I will also go in with a light shimmery shadow and clear mascara.
The Jouer concealer is like at least 5 years old I think? I remember having it ages ago. I liked it better than shapetape, back when that was the rage.
I decluttered the Jouer concealer b/c it was so heavy, but I’m sure it works differently on different skin types . . . It might be worth another try for me!
I always wandered, as mum of two toddlers, how do you kiss your child with lipstick on or even the lip oil? 😢 I can’t, so I don’t put any of lip products anymore 😢

Your Complexion looks good (i know pimples right?😬) & that Jouer has me sold!! When I see Amazon pushing Cosmetics like Jouer & those damn eyeshadow pens everytime I pull up even diapers! Jouer us right up there w Amazon
I put it on and I was like this isn't right. I had some left in an old tube and I compared them and they were super different (the Amazon was pasty and thick whereas the real one is watery and dewy) and then I noticed the packages were ever so slightly different.
I think we need a sunburn series of blushes named Fjorida. That is all.
I have thought of thisssss
I've never wanted anything more.
Especially with Taylor Swift’s new album, yes please! ❤
I second, or third or whatever this! ✋
Absolutely.
It totally makes sense that drier concealer is good for spot coverage. In an industry that loves to invent new categories (blush topper - lol ok) it is a surprise to me that concealers are expected to perform under eye brightening and spot coverage - two vastly different jobs.
I have always 2 concealers, one for my undereye and another one for Spotconcealing.
The "my face hurts" and "I just want to not have wounds" got me lol. That's essentially been my life recently. Stress has my skin even worse than usual and it's outright painful. You've 100% sold me on this concealer btw
I hope you love it if you get it. Definitely report back.

I use this concealer too. It's shape tape but more hydrating. I really like it.

I love that Kiehls sunscreen!!! I bought it during the Sephora sale snd its awesome, no piling.
Great content Kackie. I love your channel. Have a blessed day!
Thank you! You too!
Love this natural look, I like the sound of the jouer too, they have super light shades and I think the one i had before was too light.
Too light? That doesn't happen often. I'm intrigued 🤔

This has been my favourite concealer for YEARS! I thought it was getting discontinued and panicked so much I bought 4!😂
I absolutely ADORE Jouer! Glad to see the brand making a comeback 🙂💛

I love this low maintenance look on you - your true beauty is shining through! ❤
Looks beautiful.! Finally tried sneaky balm and Salt NY is my everyday run out the door face 😊
Oh man I wanted to love salt New York sooo bad. Unfortunately it did no favors for me 😭. So glad it worked for you because the concept needs supporting!!!
I wish you would try Plumscreen! It’s a wonderful mineral sunscreen I use as moisturizer too.
Yeah I keep the old Jouer concealers around because they don't mess around and sometimes I need exactly that.

I am new to Nikki but she is quickly impressing me with her skills and recommendations! (Not to mention her BK brushes!)

I can’t use the LE Seamless Skin Tint because coconut alkanes break me out like crazy. And they’re listed as the second ingredient on her website.
Yaaaas, love the everyday makeup look! Thx Kackie.

SALT NY concealer review please.
I've been wondering why we haven't gotten this yet?! I already love mine, but I'd love to see her use it too.
I haven't reviewed it because I'm not a fan and I don't want to make a big deal out of that. It's too thick for my taste and both shades I have lean green. I prefer the sneaky balm.
Good to know they lean green-- sounds like a dream for me. I'll check them out!

Dude! I *just* bought the Tower28 concealer based on your recommendation. 😭

Wow stunning ! I love this look. Definitely going to try it!
Hey Gorgeous! Skin tints are my go to as well, foundations just look weird on my acne prone skin.
Which liquid bronzer was best! make up by Mario or Saie?
Absolutely love this! So pretty. Also, I've been looking through your videos to get your earring/plug recommendations? They are always so pretty. Could you share what type of plugs you use? ( from one stretched ear millennial to another 😊)
Yes! Thank you! Mine are all from Amazon hahaha the materials are Dalmatian jasper, Picasso jasper, rose quartz and aventurine
Excellent tips!!!
I tried the jouie concealer awhile back when my girlfriend had it & it is beautiful!!
How much coverage does the Lisa Eldridge skin tint compare to the Danessa and the Prada foundation? 👀
@@kackie ahhh thank you so much!!
Oh…..that necklace. It’s so pretty! Where is it from please?
How does the blush compare to merit Beverley Hills?
Mood looks like it could be related to Ganache from Salt NY

For those outside the U.S., Diane-35ED, or cyproterone alone, are even better anti-androgens than spironolactone.
This is pretty much how I wear my makeup everyday come summer and it looks so light and fresh. Sometimes I will also go in with a light shimmery shadow and clear mascara.

HAHAHAHA

Yes! I knew it was old but dang what a banger. If TikTok can resurrect ages old makeup then SO CAN WE! *raises torch*
Gorgeous!!!!
Thank you!
I decluttered the Jouer concealer b/c it was so heavy, but I’m sure it works differently on different skin types . . . It might be worth another try for me!
how could you tell the Isentree was fake?
The formula was totally different. It was pasty and white, the real stuff is really watery and dewy.
I always wandered, as mum of two toddlers, how do you kiss your child with lipstick on or even the lip oil? 😢 I can’t, so I don’t put any of lip products anymore 😢
What color is the concealer?
Creme

Knuckles is a sonic the hedgehog spinoff series with a high budget and idris Elba voices knuckles. It's on prime I think.
I have rosacea type 2 (the acne looking one) I’m 35 so it’s nice seeing I’m not alone in the acne as an adult issue.
UGH. I'm so sorry we are in this club
