Tbh if I was in their situation, while I won't give up, I would be very disheartened by the fact that unless the enemy makes a mistake, the lane is unwinnable
The lane isn't unwinnable though cause it's not Illaoi that died, Yone gets 400 gold but Illaoi doesn't lose anything for it. And since Illaoi can't really do much till 6 anyways and has a huge power spike there AND counters Yone, the matchup might be very slightly worse but not unwinnable at all Edit: Ok so a shit ton of people have either never played this matchup, or don't really want to think about it at all but disagree anyways, so apparently I actually need to explain further... first of all, the stats are one my side already, with Yone not having a single win rate higher than 48% from Iron to Grandmaster in this matchup. To be fair, in Challenger he does have a 71% wr but the sample size there is only 7 games since Illaoi is a shit champ that's not being played in challenger lobbies. Secondly, while Yone may be a mobile champ, the only ability he can really use to dodge Illaoi E, which we all know is crucial to win, is his own E. With R you won't really ever dodge it and with Q3, you can dodge it but you also can never Q onto Illaoi since it just gives her a free opportunity to hit it. You win till lvl6 of course but that's just Illaois nature and after that power spike there's no way of winning those 1v1s if whoever is playing her has half a brain. I have to admit, I don't even know how to explain it that easily so everyone can understand because it's just so obvious to me that this is a great matchup for Illaoi, especially after playing and also watching it a few times, so idk I guess you should just try it out yourself then. I'd say the fact that Yone wr is not going above 48% on literally any website I've checked (like 5 different ones) should be enough to tell you that without needing any practical experience. Hopefully I will now not be getting annoyed by any more notifications since I know for a fact that what you're trying to tell me is wrong and I'm definitely not gonna reply to all of that and also wont say anything more about it anyways since now everything is already said
