I've been using Pro Tools shared DNA matches. It's awesome. I've been able to identify more matches, identify matches and more trees are available through this tool.
That's sad to hear. I have black family members showing up in my matches and I have zero interest in hiding anything from anyone on my match list. If anything I'm excited to figure out how I'm connected to my matches. As many of my matches as I can.
The cM issue also applies to Eurasian people, have very very mixed ethnicity and many small cM matches from small communities. Opened up lots of possibilities, just problem as lack of records to do the grnealogy
OK, I'll spend the $10. I have a line where the connector's cm was under the 7 level. With any luck, I'll be able to find the information about whether the line is right or wrong.
My question is how are you able to go back that far and actually be able to place how you're connected to those people? I'm trying to figure out who my paternal great great grandfather is but can't seem to go back fast enough on even those within the 20 cM amounts much less down to how low y'all are talking. I get frustrated with Ancestry also as it feels like it has simply become all about money with them. But, I can say having the new shared matches tool did help me with figuring out at least one mystery match. Now if it can help me figure out who the heck my GG grandfather is on my dad's paternal line.

I love the new protools feature but I didnt need the tree checker because I already have familytree maker
