@@Hoscitt but I heard that the neck shape of Red Special seems to feel really uncomfortable and strange after playing classic “C” and “D”s. And maybe the fretboard is wider than usual
Awesome job sir! We all need our daily dose of Freddie and it never ceases to amaze me just how good he was. Hearing this song like this, with his vocals right in your face, it's mind blowing. I consider myself extremely lucky to have grown up seeing these guys in their prime Big thanks to you for keeping the music alive!
You have Bryan May stile down to almost perfection! It is a pleasure to watch you play, and your tone is amazing! That Red special is just the cherry on top, and my God you can play that beauty! Astonishing...reaally. If I close my eyes, is Bryan playing...
you know, i have seen other guitar players do that for decades. they reach for that tone knob between phrases...and never turn it!!! BB King was the worst about this. I think it's just habit or nervous energy.
I found myself counting how many times that the guy touched the volume and tone controls so much that I wasn’t listening to him play. Went back to the beginning to listen. Great player!

@@MarcoGDiMarco hahaha, love ya Marco. Now i am saying for real, i am fascinated with your playing, how you play harmonies… something special! Did you ever talk with Brian in real life?
1. How well does the Kahler work with no locking nut? 2. Are those pickups passive? 3. How do you like this version compared to the present, more-accurate-to-original Brian May guitars?
1. A bit better than with it 2. Yes 3. The '84 Guild is a totally different approach to the original design, it's very different. Said that, the quality of this instrument (woods, construction, finish) is gorgeous.
Even though I would probably have it refinished (not wanting a red model), I imagine I would love having one of these Guild models. I have owned several Guild acoustics since 2011 but never an electric model. Here’s something I could never figure out by myself. Does the whammy bar bend up, or just down? I’m accustomed to thinking that guitars that have a whammy bar and locking tuners do not bend both directions.
Ciao, grazie mille. La custodia non ha marchi...probabilmente ha l'età della chitarra e forse è quella con cui usciva di fabbrica (ipotesi: dato che ha un numero di serie basso probabilmente non avevano ancora commercializzato quelle marchiate Guild).
If you look at the official video for the song you can see he’s using the Guild, however, when you see footage of them actually recording the song you can see he’s using the original Red Special although the Guild model is also in the studio. I think he used the original red spécial for recording since he said that 99% of the songs were recorded using it.. One of the rare occasions he didn’t (excepted the songs with acoustic guitar) was « Crazy little thing called love « because Mack (German sound engineer/producer for « The Game album) insisted that the red special sound didn’t fit the rockabilly song and Brian had to use a telecaster (Roger’s) against his will. It’s right that we can see Brian playing the Guild model in « One vision « video, he even wears a T shirt with « Guild guitars » on it, but I think this was more for promotion of the model.. I also read that Brian wasn’t so keen with the brand because the model didn’t sell that well (people couldn’t afford it due to its high price, apparently).
Well, I certainly can't get that sound out of Amplitube. I fact I feel like I wasted my money buying Amplitube, I don't think much of the plugin at all. This guy here though, cracking job.

Bravo sir! The Guild looks amazing! I've tried the "One Vision" preset on Amplitube 5 myself with a BMG Red Special and it sounds ok, but doesn't quite match the sound on the album. Do you use any of the Brian May presets or do you make your own for most of these videos?
Io sto per comprare una BMG antique cherry ma non ho né un AC30 (ma un ampli Fender) ne un treble booster, secondo te suona lo stesso come una red special oppure devo per forza acquistare il rig completo di Brian?
Harder than it looks to play that guitar, the red special is hard to play as Brian may has huge hands and long fingers , bravo sir!
Thanks
No he hasn’t - but then it’s all relative. I suppose if you have stumpy little hands then BM’s would look big!
@@333daveh5 Brian does actually has some large ass hands and fingers.
It's shorter than Gibson and Fender scales....

Fantastic my friend, probably the last Queen rock classic, this was to celebrate Live Aid . Smashed it #🎸
There's no such thing as last queen rock classic. All queen's song was classic
I Want It All, Headlong and some others wouldn't agree.
I mean.. Innuendo album had crazy dope tracks. Innuendo track was too 🔥
Wow great job, I remember buying a kind of magic on tape when it came out, I was 15!

Really enjoy your videos. Love the Guild version of the Red Special. You do a great job 👍
Thank you
Where can I find that model?!!
Dont you wish that Brian may guitars would reissued this guitar.

Me encanta este tema de Queen. Lo haces perfectamente y además usas la misma guitarra que Brian May en el videoclip. Enhorabuena!!
