I used to work on a chicken ranch. I used to pressure wash the ranch trucks before I even started working on them. Have to leave them drip dry over night or you'd have all kinds of nastiness dripping in your face. You couldn't get it all.Good times.
Jonathan, your ingenuity is the backbone of the American industrial experience. I have a cousin in Table Rock, NE that applies the same skill to International equipment in a construction/agricultural family business. Love to watch you work.
It's getting like that with cars too. The new ones are absolute crap. For me the best car ever built was the 98-2000 Honda Civic. The new ones are like tin cans.
Love it! Love the older trucks, love the ideas, love watching and I love the fact that the old bent up frame will end up as part of a roof for steam engines.
Dear @Dancing_Alone... 👍👌👏 😁 Exactly what I thought instantly too. Because ingenious Johnathan has already used parts of truck frames for the steam engine roof construction. Best regards, luck and health in particular.
That radiator is a thing of beauty but as a Canadian, we get so screwed on anything automotive. I don't know if it is to do with taxes or trade deals or what, but a person has to be very wealthy here to even think of messing with this type of stuff. Thats why I like watching channels like this. Thanks for keeping this seasonally effected, financially strapped Canuck entertained with these cool projects.
I use to own a coil manufacturing company (sold and retired) the little heater cores were something I built. Man would call me and ask if I could build just one and I tried to keep the price below $500.00. I had 7.5 million dollars tied up in production tooling and whether I built 1 or a thousand the set ups and production engineering were all the same. And yes,the 1000 lot would be $40.00 range to the OEM manufacturer.
Locomotive hits drivers side front, Seat cover total loss. Thanks for the time it takes to film and explain every process. Best of luck on that finger. Big hello to Family and Pets.
We just have to love how you think outside the box and reinvent the wheel to save time and money. Looking forward to the build videos. May 2024 bring you health, wealth, and happiness. Thanks for sharing.
woo hoo! these are my favorite types of videos. taking what yopu have to make what you need! hard to beat an old international. ill take that over the isuzu any day
Glad to see a post, Happy New Years. Currently the U.S/ Canadian exchange is $1 U.S = $1.34 Canadian. 🤔 pressure washing @30* , you could make snow 😂😂😂
Happy New Year to you and your family and glad your finger is feeling better. It never fails that the finger that you hit will get hit a half a dozen times while it's healing. I am looking forward to seeing the build on the new roll back. You are one smart cookie about all of this and it is a pleasure to watch your videos because of all the information you share with your viewers. Glad you were able to switch the engines over and get it running nicely. Catch you on the next one.
Oh theres an object for a pressurewashing video 😆 Love this things, when every thing, big or small is a thing, but never an issue! Have a good 2024 Jon!
Good evening Jonathan, it has been a minute since we've heard from you, I am just glad you are doing OK!!! Good on YOU @ 9:18 for being smart enough to be 1 of their examples!!! Smart Man!!! BTW Meow to NaNa..... I will finish watching now.......
All that talk of rebuilding the rollback has got to have J.C. Smith Projects mouth watering! Watch out, he may show up. You should use that bent truck frame, it would be great for picking up wrecks around corners.
Man, You Work Hard (but smart) & with a hurt finger & in the cold - l get wore out watching these videos (but l don't think I've missed none)...l sure hope that tilt frame is still square - you got enough on your plate already & winter is gearing up...Good Video Jonathan 👍
Hi Jonathan: 2024 is barely started and you have another project started already. Glad to see you back on a vehicle build. I enjoy all your videos. The vehicle builds seem to be a slight preference. I am looking forward to seeing the series.let's see what 2024 will bring.
I was acquainted with an old tow truck operator. His old wrecker was a 1967. He said he was modernizing. He was setting up his new truck. It was a 1984. I asked him why. He said the 67' was getting hard to get parts for. Then he said he could still get parts, but because they were vintage they cost a lot more. This story is 20 years old. But I thought of you and your "new" trucks.
I have built many of my wreckers and roll backs from wreck ones over the years but I running a 95 international with 19 foot steel bed ever day now and just bought a early 2000 international with same ires and rim like on one u build it has a 21 foot bed both are jerr Dan's works great but I 67 years old one man show and that's as new as I going .enjoy ur videos thanks as always be safe out there
I like that you’re turning a chicken poop encrusted train wreck into a money machine and it would be awesome if more people had your level of ingenuity and patience.
This is the content im most interested in on your page i love when you build the wreckers and rollbacks and i like it when you go two abunch of cars from one location like you did that time with all the old cars that is great content. I cant wait to see the outcome of this rollback! Then hope to see you get back on the 4x4 wrecker build and the cabover wrecker build! I could watch those videos of that stuff all day
I think Canada uses Chinese parts and can put "Canada" on them. $132 for that Radiator kinda himts at that. I loved the DT 466 mechanicals .Had one in my 4900 boom truck. Nice channel 👍 Ps IHC made a larger DT 510 also .
Hi Johnathan .You Are Great Hard Working Man. I Agree With Your Thinking . And Can't Wait To Watch Along While You Disect The Parts Are Rebuild It How You Want. I like These Types of Videos.
Sir, you are simply an extremely impressive human being! 👍👌👏 Of course I'm eagerly looking forward to watch the next part. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all of you.
That's a good project. I built a couple rollbacks too. For the lift cylinders, they need a crossmember made of square tubing, not just bolted to the side of each frame rail. I seen a few with broken frames from that mounting set up.I agree about the planetary winch, the worm gear will hold the load, the planetary relys on a brake that can ( will ) fail. Great deal on the rad too.
Great video ! Looking forward to this build ! I have a similar project going on with a 21ft jerr dan that will be on an International chassis but will have a '66 Ford cab that was my Gpa's old hay truck !
Awesome ! Heck ya , I'll watch that . There's a lot of work , but I know you'll do it right . Just the way you roll . The new rig looks like it will be a fine one . Sure is good to see you going strong , Jonathan . Hope you & yours have an excellent new year , my friend . Take care , & mind them fingers ! God bless !
Happy New Year Jonathan to you and your family !!! Looking forward to the build on your rollback , I love the way you utilize and repurpose everything that you buy in order to build with !!!Keep up the Great Videos !!
Hey Jon. It's me James. Sorry I didn't wish you and Kat a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. So I will do it now. Hope your year will be a great one. You guys are the best and me and Trish wish you two the very best. Take care Jon
I can't get over the amount of work you have gotten done in that short of time! Holy smokes, when do you sleep? That's going to be a nice rig when you're done and should provide you with years of service. Thank you for showing us the bed rebuild, I look forward to seeing that.
It's nuts that ebay is being sued over a Billion dollars by the epa... Too many people rolling coal like asshats. Great work, love the edits. Too cold to record every little thing when just trying to get in gear, for sure.
Fabrication and repair skills of a master! Interesting to hear how you think about what the engine, truck and bed needs to get back on the job! Looking forward to seeing this unfold.
THANKS fer postin EH !! Ya NEvER realize how often ya use a body part until ya hurt it. Awaitin the updates EH !! WAVIN a hand !! A belated MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR EH !!
Excellent video Johnathan W :) and nice planning on rolling back tow truck too ! You doing super well job on fixing up to your likeing too and be safe to! Hopefully New Year 2024 going well too for you too !
hi jonathan sorry to here about your finger its allways the way after youv hit it makes wish you had not started the job but as they say it willnot get done without some pain i think it mite of been standing in a yard for some time till it got sold . happy new year to you and family
It looks good, like everything else you do! Look forward to the video’s, even if you don’t learn something new you see it from a different angle and it gets you thinking what if?
I once ran over my big toe with a pump pallet Jack carrying a pallet of Tropicana orange juice The doctor burned a hole in my toe nail and relieved the pressure after that it didn't hurt that much
I used to work on a chicken ranch. I used to pressure wash the ranch trucks before I even started working on them. Have to leave them drip dry over night or you'd have all kinds of nastiness dripping in your face. You couldn't get it all.Good times.
❤love watching wreckers get built!!! Awesome,,can't wait to see your designs
Jonathan, you are always such an inspiration for me to get on and get my old cars fixed up and running. Thanks. 😊
Jonathan, your ingenuity is the backbone of the American industrial experience. I have a cousin in Table Rock, NE that applies the same skill to International equipment in a construction/agricultural family business. Love to watch you work.
It's so smart to stay with the older trucks. Seems like all the new ones are having big problems. Happy New Year to you and your family 🎉👍🇺🇸
Yeah les $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
It's getting like that with cars too. The new ones are absolute crap. For me the best car ever built was the 98-2000 Honda Civic. The new ones are like tin cans.
Jonathan, I admire your integrity, talent and willingness to save and repair rather than replace.

You're welcome, it's my pleasure. Thanks to you too.
Sincerely yours.
True environmentalism involves recycling equipment rather than always going to the new stuff.
I spent 18yrs working on these chassis in school busses! Delighted to see you repurpose them. Another great video!
That radiator is a thing of beauty but as a Canadian, we get so screwed on anything automotive. Happy New Year to the hardest working tow driver and steam mechanic I have seen!
Happy New Year, Jonathan! Always good to see an update on your projects, whether it's gas, diesel, or steam.👍
🗿 absolutely 👍👍

Love John w and his exploits up there with diesel creek. Mustie1
There's nothing Jonathan cant repair and make new. Amazing job!!!!!!!
Locomotive hits drivers side front, Seat cover total loss.
Thanks for the time it takes to film and explain every process.
Best of luck on that finger.
Big hello to Family and Pets.
I have always loved your videos. No matter what your workin on! Love from Junks Automotive.
Excellent and worthwhile project !!! Keep that finger clean and out of the chicken poop , may it heal properly . Take care my friend
We just have to love how you think outside the box and reinvent the wheel to save time and money.
Looking forward to the build videos. May 2024 bring you health, wealth, and happiness.

You definitely have some interesting builds. Always good to hear from ya.

Keep up the great videos jon. Happy and prosperous 2024
Jonathan I’m from Detroit Michigan and I love how you build these tow trucks.. it good too see you back streaming again.
Good work you are doing with the Rebuilds. I think the bigger wheels is the better choice too, less fuel to run .
What I like about you is you work hard and play hard.
Glad to see a post, Happy New Years.
Currently the U.S/ Canadian exchange is $1 U.S = $1.34 Canadian.
🤔 pressure washing @30* , you could make snow 😂😂😂
North-Easterner here and yes the COLD does not keep us MOTIVATED !!

Looking forward to seeing the build of the bed.
Impressed with what you did to swap out the whole deal.
That's going to be a lot of work but cheaper and done properly and that's important 👌 ❤
Oh theres an object for a pressurewashing video 😆 Love this things, when every thing, big or small is a thing, but never an issue! Have a good 2024 Jon!

Yes, please film the bed rebuild. That would be interesting to watch and the method of how you accomplish it.

I have the same way of thinking, some stuff you just gotta buy like that radiator but often there’s a lotta sense in saving dollars with a bit of time
Jonathan, this build is going to be Epic we love everything you do😀coming from an old Sling and J hook operator from the 70's!
That's a good project. I built a couple rollbacks too. For the lift cylinders, they need a crossmember made of square tubing, not just bolted to the side of each frame rail. Great video Jonathon, your a very smart man when it comes with building
👍ran into same deal on my 93 6.5 3500 Chevy pickup radiator. NAPA wanted $1200. Ordered from Amazon $265. Spectra on both.
NAPA sets it on the counter, Amazon sets it on your front porch. For less. Lol
You are brilliant. I'll look forward to watching this project.
2024 off with a bang ! another cracking project, keep up the excellent work young man...
Can’t wait to see you build this wrecker!
