this whole episode was awesome but Hinata’s section had me EMOTIONAL. she has such a unique and incredible upcoming, watching her grow and become more and more confident with herself and her voice, it’s hard not to be biased towards her. And hearing her dad talk about her and show how proud he is of her had me crying like a little bitch 😂
Cocona is that type of idol that is born every 10 years, she is good at everything, friend, it is not that she can do everything (vocal, dance, rap) it is that she does everything VERY WELL
I feel like Tippy Toes & Mascara were the songs that "dip" into the kpop scene. Shooting Star & LEFT RIGHT were the songs that "launched" them into the global scene. And these were great moves by Simon's team. Because by the time majority of their international audience seen/heard of Shooting Star, they already have two good songs that they could go watch and witness the different dynamic of the 2022 songs from the 2023 songs. The XTRA XTRA docuseries is also a genius move for them to take. They opted for the documentary instead of the trend of "survival series" in kpop. You could see that these documentaries would only start up after a group debuted where they would show us their idol lifestyle behind the stage and perfect lightings. YG made a combination of this for Babymonster. They made it like a docu series for the survival/elimination type of forming their group. This creates anticipation for the new group. Simon didn't do this but instead made us love the group even more. After witnessing their talents, XG is gradually showing us their journey as a group and with every member. This is such a unique take for a girl group which goes well with their concept as a group. Extraordinary Girls & XGLAX.
i feel like Simon was playing mind games with all the girls. to get them to feel the pressure and push themselves. i didn't see any indication of Cocona being behind compared to the others. but always room to grow, so Simon kept the pressure on? otherwise maybe it's something we haven't been shown yet as the Cocona centric episode is still to come
There appeared to be some mistranslation errors, so the episode was taken down in order to correct the subtitles. I saw a few but it really didn't take away from the storylines that I saw. Impressed at their need to be as accurate as possible. I was wondering why it took over an extra week to release the episode. I initially thought that there were some editing issues that held it back.
