Cheers Drew!
Great vid, congrats on the Fish! Where did you launch from?
Thanks mate, this day we launched from Mooloolaba.
What is the Evinrude you have on the back? I have an Evinrude FICHT 150, I think it is just pre ETEC. Wondering if they are any good.
Hey mate, it's a 90 etec. It's starting to miss a bit at low revs. Apart from that it runs pretty well. I'm looking at upgrading to a Yamaha 115 when finances allow.
@@DownDeep I am getting a 150 Optimax. It only has 220 hours on it and they are pretty fuel efficient. The Yamaha would be good but the newer 4 strokes are crazy expensive.
Yeah, they are pretty expensive. For myself I think it's a good investment. I will be using it all the time. With better fuel efficiency and more reliability, I'll be able to do longer and further trips.
What boat do you have
@@DownDeep I have a 1800 Mustang. One of the older ones that has had the floor and transom done and pod added. It is a bit rough, but should be a solid hull. I had a 115 Opti on a previous boat and it was super efficient, I could get 85km on 30L which was amazing. The 150 Opti I bought was only 5k and only had 220 hours on it. I know they are reliable and fuel efficient so I went with that to keep the price down. We are based in Mackay, if you are ever up that way or want to do Cloughy look me up!!
@@Timbuctoo sounds like a good dive rig. I would love to come up and dive the cloughy challenge. When is it run?
NICE!
Thanks Dany!
