Your friend has some really good insights about what makes ren so unique as an artist. His writing is just so top tier and original. She makes a great point about being a multi instrumentalist, singer etc. but also an unmatched writer.
Ren has the genius ability to turn some simple lyrics into so much more. The first introduction into Violet's life, 'Violet was a silent girl, grew up with violent starts...', to 'I'm sure her Mother knew., are 4 simple lines, but impart so much about Violet to his audience. It's enough to set a picture in his audiences mind, but also not so much that it allows his audience to fill in parts with their own imagination. A sign of a gifted story teller.
Thank you Rosalie and thanks for coming back, Wendi!! Also, thank you for introducing me to the genius of Ren, Rosalie: I started watching your channel for Rush reactions, and became interested in Ren since you covered his video regarding his KujoBeats issues. I've officially been a fan since the day Kujo BeatDown came out! Blessings to you for showcasing this major talent!! 🙏🤗🥰♥️
For the countless number of times I've watched reactions to this trilogy, this is the best I've seen! Rosalie, your stoicism throughout the beginning and throughout the videos was amazing. I was expecting you to say, "Oh, you're wondering if you're going to feel something"? Great job. I really appreciated you keeping her immersed in the videos by not stopping it every few minutes to talk about it. But, I also appreciated watching you watching her waiting to see her reaction. It was awesome! Again, great job!
I appreciated this! I enjoyed the commentary. Rosalie, can you bring her back and show her something of REN’s that is more playful or at least not the super tragic ones . I feel like she needs to see something uplifting that Ren does - he isn’t always so heavy..😂
Ren shines the light on the dark sides of society.. the side we try to ignore.. but Ren does it so well..and so creatively that you can't look away.. such an important artist. I think he is the modern Bob Dylan.. he can't be pigeonholed into one into one genre.. and he writes songs that stimulates necessary conversations. I pray for his health as i feel this next generation needs a voice like this young man.
Freddie Mercury of our times - on steroids. Think Bohemian Rhapsody. Im just a poor boy, nobody loves me. Mama, just killed a man... As a guitarist myself, he is incredibly talented. I missed a lot of the details and will Google the lyrics and meaning/spoiler. Wow! Just very powerful and played out well. Extremely theatrical and choreographed perfectly!
When i see the emotional expression on your faces(reaction faces:)),.... i just think, we live so far apart geologically, but i'm also making the same facial expression whilest listening with you both, and feeling mostly, the same emotions. And that makes youtube and the reactionist profession/creationists profession very special and unique. It helps people handle emotions and share feelings about their favorite songs with people/reactionists across the world because you have no one in your real personal friends or family circle who care about these songs. But just now i could share the emotion and agree with people from the other side of the globe that this is a masterpiece, whilest sharing a tear or 2:) ❤🎉
Yes Wendi is back! 🙂 Appreciate you commentary ladies❤ I think it's time for Ren songs that Wendi can play in the background when she writes😊 5 stars reaction ✨
Loved this as much as the first time you had Wendi in for Hi Ren. She offers a great alternate perspective of Ren’s music. Please continue having Wendi in, she’s fantastic! For both of you, this was excellent, well done!!🤘
Great reaction as usual, wendi is totally correct about his story telling they even did a backstory on screech on instagram before releasing screech’s tale showing his character.
Our past does not determine our future. Thank you for this . I truly appreciate both of your reviews on this. My first time seeing this. What a story and what an artist. Music, story telling, and on point pulling us all in to understand his story. Amazing. He is one of a kind.
I really enjoy Wendi's reactions. She's completely engaged and in the moment. Interesting contrast to her last reaction, just goes to show that different messages hit us in different ways. Some we react to intellectually, others hit us in visceral, personal ways.
Facts and Ren even mentioned how long Hi Ren 9 minutes long and the tales similar length!! Especially in today’s culture where people have zero attention span as a result of TikTok and social media. But REN takes you on a journey and his charisma oozes through the screen. It’s like a rollercoaster of emotions 🙏👏👏👏👏🇬🇧🇺🇸 loved this 👍
The first time I watched this, I cried. My first husband was Steve, I was 16, he was violent, I was pregnant. It just hit way too close to home. That’s been many, many years ago, and there is still trauma. I knew when she was at the hospital one was her child. I was stunned to find both were her children. But it makes sense. Stevie went to jail for killing her and she died. Her parents weren’t fit for parenting babies. So, they went into the foster system and were split up. She became a prostitute, he got his dad’s violent streak. Great reaction.
I love the way Ren 'book ends' each tale with a certain lyrical phrase. In Jenny's tale, it's the 'it was a quiet dark night in an empty street...' passage. Played at the start and the end, but with different emphasis on the meaning of the words 'sleep' and 'escape(d)'. Genius. In Screech's tale, it's the 'Our story starts right at the end...' line. Towards the end of Screech's tale it is replayed, but twisted around to 'Our story ends right at the start'. Again, genius. It's used less in Violet's tale, but the 'London City, far from pretty, 2005...' passage certainly helps tie the start of Violet's tale to it's tragic end. I also like the lines when Screech is confronting Jenny where Screech says '...you don't know me, the last thing you see will be a boy called Screech...' The irony being that in some way she did know Screech, and indeed the first thing she probably saw as a new born, was indeed Screech, and now it's the last thing she sees. There are so many orher examples of this sort of thing with Ren's works, but these stand out for me with this trilogy.
@twistedpixel756 Agreed. As with much of Ren's work, there are many layers to unravel with every aspect of his writing/story telling. Too much to include in a YT comment section.!!!
The way Jenny would freeze just like Violet, and Screech was aggressive and triggered by the lack of response just like Stevie, even though they never met their parents they have similar personalities.
Rosalie you are a beautiful soul. I love the people you introduce Ren to and pick out songs for each you know will catch them. This song is a wild story. Love you peace and love
Every time I see someone react to this, the performance ends and you can see them stop and start filling in all the details of the story and situation in their mind; the things that are only alluded to.
19:38... this, in a nutshell, is exactly the feeling that we reaction channel subscribers get when we watch you react to music that we love. Welcome to the opposite of schadenfreude--compersion.
I guess the system was overheating while playing in highdef and recording at the same time. The buffer looked fine. Idk, I guess it would help the reactor to watch in 720p or lower, so the recording isn't bottlenecked.
I’ve watched you Rosalie since you reacted to Hi Ren, way back. I love your analysis always, of any song. If I may throw in my opinion. From the end of the guitar intro in Violets Tale, leaving the ‘ hospital’ room, down 2 short corridors and a short flight of stairs, you are left in absolutely no doubt about Violet’s history, life and choices. It is his amazing economy of words that blow me away. What is it 35-40 secs only?
Wendi, well done. That was a great breakdown with Rosie. You definitely got the vibe girl, awesome, and spot on.!! Ok Rosie, what Ren are you putting her on next.? I know you know the catalogue, so up to up.!! Maybe Money games 1,2,3 next.?!! Get Wendi back on it. She's a star in the making.!!! Great job, guys!🤙✌️👍👍❤️🇺🇲🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 ❤️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲 Big night tonight.!!! Vote vote vote.!!!
I totally hear you on the need to dissect every element. Here's one: as Violet's beating begins, the tone is upbeat and easy to bop to, including the line "Nick-nack Paddy-wack", to represent that we're so numb to domestic violence as a society that we just want to bop along and lose ourself in childhood rhymes until the unpleasantness has stopped. It's telling a necessary tale of violence while indicting us for how little we care about violence. Also, hooray for references to Chekhov's gun!
I may have said this before in one of your reactions, but Rosalie I REALLY would love to see you react to UK artist Dave!! You love Ren and NF and Dave has a similar vibe and his lyrics and storytelling are top notch and his song Leslie is similar to this trilogy! I just know you would love Dave and I'd love to see your reactions!
Jenny and James are used in a similar way to John Doe and Jane Doe, so with the mother dead and the dad probably in prison for murder, and Jennys parents unfit to take them, the twins may have gotten their names this way, and then split up in a care homes
In the US unknown children or people are referred to as Jane and John Doe. I believe, in the UK, Jane and John Doe are referred to as Jenny and James. Ren also released Instagram shorts of when screech “stole“ his phone. Those are compiled in a TH-cam video called screeches IG tales I believe. In them we meet screech Patrick the rest of screeches crew and girl. Throughout those stories, we see screeches girl and Patrick , being fairly close while trying to fly under screeches radar. That, I believe, is where the story of where Patrick is in screeches tail and who he is hanging out with.
This one reminds me of Dance with the Devil - Immortal Technique. I remember listening to that as a teenager and being utterly horrified and entranced.
The graffiti stops are definitely on purpose. Check the right wall when Richard is doing the thing, and again, left wall when Screech reached for the sheath. One more, when Jenny gets intuition, there's a word written on the wall in the bottom left. Bonus for clicking Read More: there's a word written on the far door, just before the trumpet.
Oy! Even her reaction to the encounter between Jenny and Screech was telling.... that expression and slightly clenched teeth said she was in for a rough ride. The moment was at "the devil had set his sights on his soul".... she went from passive to "eeeeeh, its gonna be THIS kind of story." Do NOT let this woman listen to Immortal Technique's "Dance With The Devil". It WILL break her soul, and her therapist will make a fortune. You dont even NEED pauses with this trilogy. Honest reactions are worn on the faces...
Certain songs I can't have on my playlists because they feel incomplete without the music video. Hi Ren, Jenny & Screech trilogy, Money Game Pt 3 - none of these I feel are designed to be taken away from their videos.
This is a Tragedy worthy of Shakespeare and Deeper than most may realize. Ren wrote Violet's Tale in 2019 and He Set Violet's Tale in 2005 When Violet moved out on Welfare at 16, concidering what her Father did to her, Jenny and Screech may actually be her Half Siblings as well, explaining why she has a "Welfare Flat" at 16. Jenny is just like Violet was as she never says a word when Screech attacks her, and Screech, just like Violet's Father has a Violent Temperament. A True Terrible Masterpiece!
I just had a thought. Was it Dr. Seuss who once said. Children's books are the hardest to write because you have to tell the story so simply and direct with the minimunal amout of words. And it need to make sense. I feel Ren falls into this category. His message is direct and to the point without excess fluff.
Great and very interesting reaction! In order to close the loop, I strongly suggest you both react together to Richard’s Tale (the police officer) by Levi The Poet (inspired by Ren). ❤❤
Ren wrote this in frustration at the way we accept violence nowadays, passing it off as "such a shame". He wanted to show that there are consequences that go deep for even the slightest bit of violence. That's what he said on his live stream.
That is definitely a must-watch. It puts new insights on the whole trilogy. Make sure you read Ren's pinned comment !!! It's just effing brilliant. Screech's abusive father, the chemistry between Patrick and Babe, the annoying for attention seeking Screech, the adrenaline after a burglary. I can't mention too much, it may spoil the whole experience.

Hey Girls, you are fantastic! Your 15 minutes reaction/talk is so on point, and clear, and deep. It is clear you are used to reading symbols... So, I'd like to make a request to you to react to "Uninvited" by Ren. It's not his most reacted song from the Sick Boi album, but I think that when it was reacted to, it was very badly done, and reactors got the message totally the wrong way. Please make it right.
22:58 never thought about that. Ren is akin to chemical warfare. Do you realise he made an entire block cry in 15 minutes while filming the trilogy? 😭😭😭🤣
🎄Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!🎄 A wonderful christmas song - Diana Ankudinova & Brandon Stone (piano) - What a Wonderful World The best cover of a wonderful song by the legend Louis Armstrong will bring you real pleasure this holiday days. Diana Ankudinova - Queen of Goosebumps - Diana received such a title for her extraordinary unique voice. Also among Diana's best works are covers of Derniere Danse, Wicked Game, Can't Help Falling in You. New - OST Dune and OST James Bond (Art of Hans Zimmer) Each of these performances garnered over a thousand reactions.
I still cry almost every single time I hear it. There’s something just so sad and tragic about the whole thing while I’ve seen this, probably a couple hundred times, I still end up in tears at the end
@@staceyjayneplatt9527I am sure he has support. I hope this round of treatments helps him. I feel terrible that he had to go back for more treatment. Poor REN ❤
Great reaction ladies. You did have some video/audio issues esp on Violets Tale. Sounds like you got audio bleed from the open mic causing echo!! Nonetheless, great job with the reaction and discussion.
Have you seen the alternative Jenny and screech song? Has a happy ending.. its on a page called Renegade.. they used AI to create this song... Jenny breaks the cycle.. when the blade comes out.. instead of freezing and going silent like her mother violet.. she boldly steps forward and speaks to James.. this creates a different reaction from screech and Jenny and James meet.. have a nice conversation and both leave the moment with a new beginning instead of meeting their ends.. they also made a song about the officer who shot screech and his aftermath of the tragic night. Pretty cool actually.
Honestly you should have apologized before playing Violet's tale!!!! Or if you wanted to go the humor route ask if she's ready and then said "Sorry but you're not" if she said yes! That part legit makes me cry 90% of the time I listen to it! Thank you for the wonderful reactions and the way you use your reactions to help spread mental health around the platform!
Emotionally moved every time I see this trilogy, it is so sad and reflects society in the 21st century. 1 Kings 15:3 says the words that apply here. Good reaction/ review ladies..TY.
At the beginning she says, "Whatever it is, I'm ready for it." And I thought, "Ooh, no. No, you're not. No one is ever ready for this."
Honestly, since my first intro to Ren was "Hi Ren" there is almost nothing that can surprise me now! 😉
Right?!
Facts! ❤
Same xD

"I just want to feel something"...👀. Great reaction as always....and friends makes it twice as nice!
Ren's storytelling is amazing... every little technique is amazing and brilliant.
Agree 💯 💯
Hi Wendi!! Welcome back!

"Well... [expletive]..." Well said, Wendi. Well said.
I love Wendi's reactions, but please, for her soul, give her an upbeat one 😂❤🎉
Haha 😂 true. It’s about time
Well... Fu*k. Yep, that was the correct reaction.. 😂

Love your reactions. Keep up the good work!!
I really liked Wendi's commentary on this one. Thank you for sharing Rosalie!

Wendi has done a couple of deep, dark ones - time to lighten the mood....bring back 'Back on 74' 😁😁😁
I love the way Ren 'book ends' each tale with a certain lyrical phrase.

Agreed. As with much of Ren's work, there are many layers to unravel with every aspect of his writing/story telling.
Too much to include in a YT comment section.!!!
Love this! thank you for sharing!
As a survivor of DV this song evokes deep feelings in me every time. But in a cathartic way. Ren is healing so.many people thru his art.
She needs to hear Gordon Lightfoot, "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald," and hear his masterful story telling.
You should have Wendi react to REN feat. Chinchilla Chalk Outlines ... i'll keep an eye for that one
And all 3 video on 1 take 🤯🤯 Great reaction
When one Dances in the light One will never know the fear OF the DARK
The way Jenny would freeze just like Violet, and Screech was aggressive and triggered by the lack of response just like Stevie, even though they never met their parents they have similar personalities.
The dad’s name was Stevie.
@G_Demolished oh yeah, I mixed up money game 3 lol.
Such a great choice to show Wendi, she really gets Ren which is wonderful. I am sure she would love Penitence Ren with Molly McKinna.
The empathy just oozes out of the screen. Quite beautiful to watch. 🪩🍪❤️

you should let her see another side of Ren and do Back on 74/message in bottle or some of the big push
Let's get Ren in the comments, come on Renagades! Awesome reaction, girls I felt the emotions in every expression
I'm assuming the jumpy video and mismatched audio is part of this video's production and wasn't experienced on the reactors' end, yeah?
I guess the system was overheating while playing in highdef and recording at the same time. The buffer looked fine. Idk, I guess it would help the reactor to watch in 720p or lower, so the recording isn't bottlenecked.
Love this ladies ❤ “He forces us to slow down, and pay attention” 💯
I’ve watched you Rosalie since you reacted to Hi Ren, way back. I love your analysis always, of any song. If I may throw in my opinion.

She's a star in the making.!!!

can you please do the money games with Wendi would love to see her take on it ❤❤
Great reaction.
Ren makes music for blind people. It really makes you feel.
You may want to view Richard’s Tale off camera. It’s interesting. Great reaction folks.
He's been talking for a couple years now, that he would love to put together a TV series with his stories and music similar to Black Mirror.
Jenny and James are used in a similar way to John Doe and Jane Doe, so with the mother dead and the dad probably in prison for murder, and Jennys parents unfit to take them, the twins may have gotten their names this way, and then split up in a care homes
Enjoyed the reaction. It would be a 10 if it wasn't for video and sound quality. But your reaction was great 😊
Some great insights there - thanks
Losing it will put a smile on your face 😂.
🔥great reaction !

Before it starts I want to say how much I love ❤️ you Rosalie ❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😇😇 Love how proud of REN you are like a sister 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸🫶🏻🫶🏻
Great reaction ❤
Great reaction ladies 🇬🇧😊
This one reminds me of Dance with the Devil - Immortal Technique. I remember listening to that as a teenager and being utterly horrified and entranced.
The twins story reminds me of the play Blood Brothers (also brilliant)
THIS! ❤
Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
Fantastic reaction 👌
This reaction is great, but remember too much dissection and the patient dies. Keep Reacting!
Watch some Big Push, Rens busking band, to unwind.

I'd love to hear a poets' reaction.
Exactly.
Now if only you could get Ren in studio with you, and you react to some of his music together : )
Now that it is out there…worthy to note that Dustin Diamond (the actor that played Screech) was once arrested for stabbing a guy in a bar.
Money Game 3 next! I'd love to hear her take on it.
25:12 “the instagram stories of screech” is where that came from
That is definitely a must-watch. It puts new insights on the whole trilogy. Make sure you read Ren's pinned comment !!!

I could see this & the M Game series on Broadway for sure.
Rosalie have you seen what went wrong 1 + 2? Another wild story with Ren and Sam Tompkins!!! You should definitely check it out!
[19:38] You mention there are links to other songs, I prefer to approach Ren's work not as songs, but Pieces of Art, Pieces that FIT together.
🎄Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!🎄
A wonderful christmas song -
Diana Ankudinova & Brandon Stone (piano) - What a Wonderful World
The best cover of a wonderful song by the legend Louis Armstrong will bring you real pleasure this holiday days.
Diana Ankudinova - Queen of Goosebumps - Diana received such a title for her extraordinary unique voice.
Also among Diana's best works are covers of Derniere Danse, Wicked Game, Can't Help Falling in You.
New - OST Dune and OST James Bond (Art of Hans Zimmer)
Each of these performances garnered over a thousand reactions.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
They always think they are ready 🙄
I still cry almost every single time I hear it. There’s something just so sad and tragic about the whole thing while I’ve seen this, probably a couple hundred times, I still end up in tears at the end
@@Emilie-oneme 😢also 🙏🙏 I hope Ren is being looked after now he is back in Canada 🇨🇦🇬🇧🇺🇸
Wendi bless you sister 🫶🏻🫶🏻❤️❤️🥲🇬🇧🇺🇸👏👏👏👏👏👏
@@staceyjayneplatt9527I am sure he has support. I hope this round of treatments helps him. I feel terrible that he had to go back for more treatment. Poor REN ❤
Great reaction ladies. You did have some video/audio issues esp on Violets Tale. Sounds like you got audio bleed from the open mic causing echo!!
Nonetheless, great job with the reaction and discussion.
Shakespeare and musically Brecht&Weil
Have you seen the alternative Jenny and screech song? Has a happy ending.. its on a page called Renegade.. they used AI to create this song... Jenny breaks the cycle.. when the blade comes out.. instead of freezing and going silent like her mother violet.. she boldly steps forward and speaks to James.. this creates a different reaction from screech and Jenny and James meet.. have a nice conversation and both leave the moment with a new beginning instead of meeting their ends.. they also made a song about the officer who shot screech and his aftermath of the tragic night. Pretty cool actually.
You'll see a comment in there I did.. a bit embarrassing as it fooled me.. didn't realize it was AI generated till later.
