The (1953) Bus boycott that took place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana was the blueprint for the Montgomery bus boycott; @ that time Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. met with Dr. T. J. Jimmerson and other prominent Ministers in Baton Rouge, La. The bus boycott was so successful it nearly bankrupt the bus system in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
My mom was living in the Deep South when this happened and she didn’t agree. Mom was just a little girl. And you don’t know how my relatives look like. Or do you?
Did you watch the entire video? That young girl, Claudette Colvin, was mentioned in this documentary and it was explained why the decision was made not to use her as the face of the movement.
My Uncle Bob is briefly shown in a clip near the beginning of the video, but no mention of him was made. I heartily applaud all the people who were part of the bus boycott but he, especially being white, deserves mention as he dedicated a large portion of his life to civil rights. He wrote several books. And his wife, my Aunt Jeannie, was the oldest graduate of Alabama State University. Check out Robert S. Graetz. Also there were death theeats made and their house was bombed multiple times. I wish he had gotten at least a nod somewhere in there as he drove people around Montgomery all through the boycott. Thank you
Thank you for this program. Very inspiring.
It's so filled with Spiritual warfare that it moves me deeply
This is soooo inspirational! Thank you for keeping our stories told.
This program was both informative and inspiring. I hope to see more like it.😊

Loved this documentary...along with learning about the women and men behind the movement that history has omitted
Mississippi is the birth place of the civil rights movement. Rest in peace Emmitt Till , Mesgar Evera , Rosa Parks, Dr. Mlk
THANK YOU QUEEN MOTHER COVIN!
🎉❤️🖤💚💯👑CLAUDETT COLVIN
Great work. But it's got more ads packed into it than one would think possible.
That takes discipline ✊🏽
Courage
WATERSHED NEVER FLOWS TWICE.

What did your mom not agree with, and what do you mean about the relatives? That statement doesn't make any sense.
Ida b wells let's not forget her
Rosa Parks was not the first person. It was a young pregnant girl who started it his movement.
True
Thanks for info, do you know her name and is there a documentary on her

Theses folks really created an alternate world once they seen that we was a very intelligent far Superior beings when they seen them D..... pyramids..
It’s crazy how Rosa Parks experienced such harsh treatment (portrayed by black men) later in life due to crime in her neighborhood.
FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM DOES NOT WORK INA VACUUM!
Why Sojourner Truth? She was not on the bus.
