I bought this brand new back in 2004. I always knew this thing is a gem. Bone stock, it could do 15.2 seconds @ 93 mph. It did not get the recognition when I got it in 2004. Most people criticized it, but it was incredible car. Now, these are very sought after cars, but only few of the 6000 left. High-revving screaming engine, good handling, a surprisingly stiff chassis, optitron red meters that come to life when you turned the ignition, great seats and very nice leather shift knob with chrome etc. I put lightweight flywheel, heavy duty clutch, motor mounts, clutch lines steel braided and ECU remapping for lift at 6000 rpm etc. I absolutely loved it and modified it putting 225.000 KM. I moved on to the Lexus brand, but I still have it in storage. It is pretty much in worn out from the outside. Mechanically, it is perfect, but the exterior has rust and dings etc.
2003 and up the hp goes down is this the same engine 2003 =180hp. 2005 170hp dont make sense but it is still both 6 speed manual comment me.back is this the same engine
@@kidmanila2160 it's the same engine, Toyota just changed the way they rated power in 2006. That power "downgrade" affected most of their other engines as well.
@@damilolaakanni Toyota didn't change, the automotive standards did. Toyota lowered their numbers accordingly, some companies (like Honda) didn't care and just said "yup!" and kept the numbers the same, even though they were technically exaggerating their figures
