This was a good match up, you can see the love that Eddie has for this business in every match. Garcia is going to be in this business for a long time, his style is going to take him a long way.
Daniel Garcia is so good. Honestly, his work is so crisp and clean, like Bret Hart. And what more can you say about Eddie Kingston? He's become AEW's version of Tommy Dreamer, the underdog who became so loyal to his promotion that he became the heart and soul. Eddie is the guy they use to help build legitimacy and credibility to others. I love that wrestling and story telling in the ring matter again.
For everyone saying that Eddie tapped at 2:40, hitting the ropes just once is enough for a break. And Garcia hadn’t synced in another submission, he was readjusting. So, no it’s not a tap out.
if this was shoot fighting, mma etc. (and we're supposed to be suspending our disbelief, right?) that's definitely a tap lol, it doesn't matter if the other fighter is attempting a sub

Man I love watching Eddie wrestle. He's just one of the most convincing guys working today, face or heel. And damn Garcia remains crisp and brutal-looking. Great finish too, with Eddie overly telegraphing the backfist to bait Garcia into a counter, then having a counter-counter ready with the exploder suplex to set up the ACTUAL backfist. Garcia's good, but Eddie is still too much a wily veteran for him to beat in singles action yet, even if he can get the better of him in multi-man matches. I was wondering, though, did they have the crowd mic'd up wrong this night? Both on Dynamite and Rampage it seemed the crowd was really into the action (repeated "This is awesome!" chants) but the volume seemed oddly low.
I know it's all storyline, but is no one going to point out that at the 2:40 mark, when Eddie got put on the Boston crab; the moment his fingers slipped off the rope, he slammed his hand down 4 to 5 times in secession, palm down. This is a tap out. The ref should have called it or at least done something to sell why he didn't see Eddie tap
Adam Page might be the one turning heel! He had his first drink on TV two Fridays ago during his Death match with Adam Cole. He gave it up in storyline after winning the AEW World Championship from Kenny when he threw the drink and embraced the Dark Order.. He got in the Dark Orders faces when they tried to help at Revolution 2022 and pushed Reynolds. He ditched them to team with Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. He's been sinking to Adam Cole's level by using the belt to tie him up, etc. Everyone started booing Hangman at Revolution when he did it.. And he came out of the heel tunnel when him and CM Punk faced off! I think his obsession with not losing the title may cause him to sorta turn at some point before facing Punk
I feel like it should have ended with Eddie taking of his belt, grabbing DG and saying "this isn't personal, just a message for you to take to your boss." and then give him one solid lash and walk off. I feel like it would have felt more intense.
