Angelina said the song is about her Grandfather and anybody who's lost someone..... The little girl is Angie's little sister Juliette and the man playing her Grandfather is her Uncle Mike.... he's playing his own father.

Angelina's next scheduled concert will be on September 22, 2023, at the Music Hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, near Boston, Mass - there are still some tickets available - it is a small venue (about 900) so every seat will allow you to see Angelina up close. For those that are interested, buy tickets directly from The Music Hall, and avoid 3rd party ticket sellers if possible.
I'm sorry for your loss. I lost mine in 2010 and had never really fully cried and cleansed until Angelina wrote this song and put it out for us all. She is truly a gift to this planet. She was sent to heal our souls.

Jennifer, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I lost my wife in 2017, which began a 3+ year span of losing both my parents, a stepson and a best friend. Then I learned of Angelina. About 8 months later, "Million Miles" was released and I wept, for the first time ever to a song. Angelina and her music has improved the quality of my life more than I can express. She provided me with HOPE when it seemed all hope was lost.

Angelina says that tears were running down her face as she was writing the song. The song is both about sadness for losing a loved one and comfort knowing that they are always in your heart.
During live concerts she sang it a bunch slower and more emotionally and she stressed the comforting message.

I hope you find this song healing as Angelina dedicates this song to anyone who lost a loved one. For her here it was her grandfather who passed. she shares his same charitable heart as he would often help the homeless. Good thing you havent watched her live at kronsberg norway last year. At times her voice wobbled so you know this is atraight from the heart, and that wrecking ball to the heart note at the end is even more powerful and longer at her live concert.

She did this live at a couple of concerts in Norway a few years ago. Both performances are stunning and heart wrenching. If you can handle it you should watch at least one of these. Thanks for the heartfelt reaction.
That’s what the barefoot princess does, she puts so much heart and soul into her music. My daughter and her grandfather were very close. I let her listen to song, and she also cried. That’s why we all love the barefoot princess, the passion she puts in during music. Not to mention the angel voice that she has. As far as I’m concerned, there is no other singer out there today that can move people the way she does. Absolutely an angel sent from heaven.
I lost both of my parents quite a few years ago. But I never stop thinking about them and missing them. Like for many of us, this song brings back that emotion in a way that only Angelina can elicit. She was only 15 here and this reflects her brilliance. Peace and love.

When you’re able, listen to this again. It’s not just a song about losing someone close. It’s about a bond with a loved one that continues even after they’re gone. Angelina’s message in all her songs is a hopeful one. Life can be tough and bitter sometimes, but her message is to find the positive that’s in you and go ahead. You’ll hear this in many of her songs. This one, of course, is very poignant because of the death of a loved one, but the bond still persists and the memories should be cherished.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your father in 2017, but thank you for being willing to share that with us. That's the same year my wife passed. Since Angelina 1st released this incredible original song - with her heartfelt emotional delivery, I listen to it every day. And each time I listen - while it brings me to tears, that is always followed by a deep sense of comfort. Angelina's singing is definitely "food for our souls". No need to apologize people are watching reaction channels to see reactions, not the original artist performance. Angelina is a singer that imparts alot of emotion in the audience with her singing, its why her fans love her. Note as good as her performance is in the 3 first releases of this song (lyric, studio, and video) most of her fans prefer the live performances she gave at her 2022 Concert last July around 2 years later. Think she felt more free post release of her 1st two Republic singles releases also Angelina voice tends to grow exponentially in maturity and quality it seems sometimes by the month:)
Prayers for you and your family. I lost my mom in 2019 and this song got me through that first summer by really allowing me to pour all that grief into the flow of the music and her divine voice.
She just kills this song and gets me everytime. in Jul 22 she sings this in a concert in Norway where she slows it down and just blows everyone away with that rendition. Something you got to see when you get a chance

This is a very special song by singer/ songwriter AngelinaJordan Astar. Her first release under Republic Records at the age of 14, it tells the story of the loss of her grandfather (the two pictures on the wall are of both grandfathers). In the video, her uncle, Michael Astar, plays the part of the grandfather, his father. Angelina's only sibling, Juliette (8), plays the part of a young Angelina. It must have been a cathartic experience for all three to share in this telling.

Have you seen her cover of WIllie Nelson's "You're Always on My Mind"? She was around 10-11. She's singing the song....I believe the day of her grandfather's funeral. She loses her composure towards the end of the song. It was very hard to watch. Our dear, sweet princes.

My dear, she has touched your heart deeply with her song and what really grabs at your heart strings is Angelina is such a genuine phenom when she sings for you. Personally I still talk to those in my life who have departed this Earth and as Angelina so beautifully sang even though their spirit is a Million Miles away they can hear me. The sadness is replaced by a feeling that our loved ones are still a part of our lives and can influence decisions we make. Jennifer, think often of your dad as if his spirit is watching over you.

I fully understand your emotions while listening to this beautiful song. I lost my mother in February of 2022. The last two songs, I played for her were Always on My Mind and then Million Miles. In her memory we traveled to Norway and watched.her July 7 and 10th concerts. Hearing this song live was overwhelming. I tried to hold back the tears but it was too much. She started out by stating that this song is dedicated to anyone who has ever lost someone. The song is both beautiful and emotional.

It's very obvious that she is able to connect very deeply with us, as a lot of reactor cry when reaction g to this one. Memories of losing loved ones re-surface SO hard. I also lost my father in 2015 (due to cancer), and her song (and voice) definitely pulls my heartstrings. But crying is ultimately a good thing I think. They are canned feelings that all of a sudden are allowed to venture outside for a while, getting some alleviation 🙂
