I just picked up a pair of factory refurbished Klipsch R-15M for $109 from Woot. I've owned bookshelves from just about everyone, from Dayton to Totem, perhaps a dozen pairs, and in my room, these Klipsches sound fantastic and are very solidly built. It really is a matter of spitting hairs when comparing these speakers, you may prefer one or the other, but they're all really good.
Maximiliano Ibanez Tannoy Mercury 7.2 sounded worst to me, the rest all sounded good but it was not that easy to tell which sounded best

out of all of these speakers, which one did you like the most? i only ask this because you were there in person to listen, it's a lo harder to judge when you are listening though youtube.
Monitor Audio Silver 1 preference
After some research bought Monitor Audio silver 2, and I love them. Really great speaker!
The Tannoy Eclipse blows all the others away. They are by far the richest and best balanced and most natural sounding, with the other Tannoys and Monitor Audios following. The MA Bronzes would be a better comparison, because their price is closer to the others, and they are voiced with a fuller midrange than the Silvers.

In combination with the equipment used, I favoured all the Tannoy loudspeakers. I'm not really sure that tells me a heck of a lot but really enjoyed the vid. Thank you 😄
For me the Monitor Audio Silver 1 is 1st place, and Dali Zensor 1 and Tannoy Mercury 7.2 are joint 2nd as I think Dali's low end sounds nicer to me but it's also a bit bright/harsh (and I say this as a Zensor 1 owner myself so not just based on the video, these are not speakers you want toed in!), while the Tannoy has better vocals, so the choice depends on preference.

Hm... I am thinking that only first tannoy sounds natural here, but why did they make them so ugly? :D
Actually I find Dali a bit too bright (but I can retune the x-o to my liking, not a big deal). I don't mind Tannoy and Monitor at all, smooth, easy on ears.
I have heard my friend's Dali surround sound and I do find their smaller speakers better with a subwoofer although that's no surprise. Dali and Klipsch tend to be quite prominent in the highs.

i like the how the backgorund drums caught my attention from Dali, but the trumpet towards the end sounds tad too airy and open. the trumpet part sounds about just right from the MA. Please get some KEFs in.
Teh last pair of speaker you placed were the best. It had weight were the other didn't in the mid range

For me it's kind of useless exercise, even with very good headphones (HD6** series), as the camera mic and room colour the sound too much.
Dali to bright with Arcam, try with Denon PMA or NAD

Pains me to admit as a a Dali owner: I liked Monitor Audio and the Mercury 7.2 better. Nice review.
If you know someone who knows how to tune crossovers, you can make Dali sound a bit warmer by attenuating the tweeter by 1dB or so. Not hard to do at all, just one resistor ;)
Da quel che si sente dal video le Dali sembrano le migliori,in ogni caso complimenti perchè le vostre comparazioni sono molto professionali e precise. Non vedo l'ora che vi scateniate con JBL Klipsch Tannoy(quelle serie) con demo di jazz rock funk classica :-)
Secondo me le più musicali che si lasciano ascoltare per più tempo senza fatica d'ascolto sono le prime Tannoy. Le Dalì sono migliori per separazione dei vari strumenti. Le M.A silver costano troppo di più rispetto alle altre. Le klipsch comunque si difendono bene

I can't really tell on my laptop, but many here seem to like the Monitor audios. I have silver 8's, and for the first time after owning dozens of speakers, I don't want another speaker.
I'm in the verge of downsizing from klipsch rf82ii, you think the MA silver 2 or 100 are as good as my klipsch?
Dali or MA. I can decide trying a more dynamic music. Tannoy 7.2 too dark. Klipsch too high and poor with mid spectrum. Tannoy 1 and 7.2 enjoyable but too smooth. Just an opinion, taste based. Thanks for your comparison.
Klipsch is not bright at all especialy with decent amp. Tannoy dont overhelm with treble but its not dark. It might be microphone or video fault or bad amp

Many people say the Dali's are to bright. Will putting them through a cheaper amp calm the brightness? I have a Cambridge Audio A5. Different amp, same speakers and different sound I presume. I had a Pioneer A400, JBL TLX speakers and Awai CD player. The chap in the HIfi shop told me they were perfectly matched and they were. The baffles went on the speakers and the rear posts went dodgy so I took them to the dump. What a fool.
Dali Z way to bright. I much preferred the warmer presentation from the two Tannoy speakers!
To be fair. It seems like the Daali here are the only Low Budget Bookshelfs.
Like the Monitor Audio cost 3 or 4 times as much.

i like biwiring only because it makes possible to tame a little some exuberant tweeters ... if i am not wrong some high end speaker like i think Wilson provide some precision resistors to fine-tune the speaker freq response in the listening room.
Bi wiring or bi-amping? Bi wiring does nothing as both come from the same source, just cable run to tweeters is longer. Passive crossover bi-amping where you send separate full range to woofer and tweeter crossovers might do a bit as the tweeter amp is not actually doing work in the bass range despite receiving a bass signal.
With bi-wiring you can attenuate the tweeter section with higher resistance of the cable or additional resistor (0.33-.5 ohm or so). With bi-amping if a level adjustment is provided, it's super easy.

le mie impressioni, tannoy suono equilibrato ma un po chiuso nelle medio alte frequenze, klipsch e dali suono un po piu live ma piu dolce quello di dali anche se piu fine , monitor audio a sto giro la preferisco a tutte le altre perchè mi pare una timbrica piu corposa e trasparente, il mio ordine di preferenza è 1 monitor audio 2 mercury 7.1 e 7.2 3 dali 4 tannoy eclipse e ultime le klipsch

I didn’t like the Dali, Monitor Audio and Tannoy Mercury 7.2 speakers as much as the rest, Dali sounded brighter than all of the other speakers and to me they sounded the worst.
Ciao a me sono piaciute le dali zensor ...se vogliamo parlare di primo prezzo...forse hanno un po di base in meno rispetto alle altre ma la scena e il timbro della voce mi sembrava più live.....

Tannoy Mercury 7.2 oh the midrange sounds so dark, horrible midrange,i can't find words to describe how it sounds. Why is there alot of distortion all the time, bad mic or?
I hate the sound of brushes, they make the snare drum sound like a shortwave radio.

Sono tutti esattamente uguali. Tranne le klipsch che stonano in alto e morbidi in basso e le monitor audio che sono chiuse. Il resto ottimi diffusori. Io sceglierei le Tannoy eclipse one, o meglio le two dall’inghilterra o germania che costano meno delle one in Italia.

Grossa delusione per la comparazione perché mancavano le Kef che suonano meglio di qualsiasi altro diffusore in commercio e perciò troppo scomode da mettere a confronto , Kef ha alzato il livello e gli altri, per il momento, non riescono a stargli dietro, peccato !
Tannoy Eclipse - Monitor Silver 1 - Tannoy Mercury.... the others and espacily the dali suxx hard in everything
Have been hearing jazz in the eclipse 3 for 2 yrs now , i like its sound signature, warm and smooth. Not as sooth as the Kef q500 but optimal for my taste. Would love to add a couple of eclipse1s when I set up a listening room.

Daaaaaaali 100% Dinner hört richtig zu Leute deutlicher geht es nicht ,alle sind gut aber Dali klingt sehr klar und offener als die anderen das hört man ohne Mühe lieber Hifi Freunde es sei denn steht ihr auf dumpferer Sound.
