    I love discovering new restaurants and cuisines! What new restaurants should I try next? Should I go abroad and try something there? Leave your comments below.
    Notting Hill is known for it's beautiful Cafe's and restaurants. One of the most famous ones is Farm Girl Cafe for example. Also The Churchill Arms is worth a visit :)

    Have you ever tried Oysters? I would love to try them one day 😱

      @flyhi2773 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah . . . I consider them very over rated. Monk fish well cooked can be delicious, Sting Ray - served more in the far east is highly recommended. Villa Bianca in Hampstead used to be and probably still is great for French food and did wonderful snails - well cooked, they're worth trying one day.

      +Pandemonium 68 Ooh! I have actually tried Monk fish before and it was so good!! :) Snails I tired in Paris but they were a little bit too intense for me :D Villa Bianca - is is pricey?

    • @flyhi2773
      @flyhi2773 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well Villa Bianca used to be very reasonable but things change - maybe check on the internet. Like I say; well cooked Monk fish can be delicious, but being very impressed at one restaurant in Devon I ordered it again at a different restaurant but it wasn't as good - same with snails, squid and octopus - they can be fantastic at one restaurant, not so great at another.

      I suggest looking for an eatery near the river thames as some buy fresh oysters as caught in that river. This restarted after the river was cleaned up in the 1990s.
      Oysters were eaten by ancient brits [celts] 1000s of years ago from local rivers.

      If your eating raw Oysters the colder the water they come from the better. I.E. Northern waters. If you cook them your a ruiner!

    Yet no oysters? You need to go to a place that sells native oysters. Not that many in central London but worth a go.

      Alan Mac Do you know a good restaurant for Oysters? :)

    • @Alan_Mac
      @Alan_Mac 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are certainly a few but oysters are so simple. Go to somewhere like Moxons in Islington and buy a dozen oysters, take them home and shuck them yourself. All you need is a steady hand and a sturdy oyster knife which you can buy from John Lewis. Native oysters as trickier to come by. Maybe go to Bentley's? They will charge about £2 each, though.

    PS: half my family originate from the notting hill area.
    Theres also a film named 'notting hill' as staring hugh grant, which is set there.
    notting hill was quite ordinary some decades ago. Since 2000 its become very affluent.

      Nobody can really tell right now. My advice is to just go about it and see what happens :) It's unlikely there will be any changes within the next 12 months I guess

    Hi!:) I have a question, which is maybe kind of weird, but when you are trying to sleep and live in London, do you hear the traffic THAT much? Like, also, if you are living outside of central London? And another question-are you afraid of terror attacks? Because I really am and that's what I would be afraid of at the moment in generally big cities-You're doing greet work!

    • @SandyMakesSense
      @SandyMakesSense  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Feli Flora Hey :) well it depends very much on where you live and how thick your windows are :) I pretty much live on a loud road but my windows are so thick I never hear anything haha. And no, I am not afraid of attacks! We cannot be and we have to continue just like before ❤️ always sharing the love

      ANSWERS-
      1= Only houses near busy 'A' roads + motorways are noisey till 8pm. Central London has more traffic so it could be upto 11pm for things to tail off. 2= There has been terror attacks in London since over 1000 years ago when Viking raids occurred. Since the 80's security cameras have prevented modern attacks. Newer attacks occurred due to some muslims not understanding democracy. Such people have come under closer scrutiny. So I say the worst is largely over.

    Oysters look horrible! how do u know so much about what's going on when & where in London? I lived in London all my life, yet your a very good source to learn about different recreational options. Are the foods budget friendly generally and do you advertise for companies. Your videos are very professional and fun, and explorative and gives the impression that having fun in London's quite affordable. Another sweet, short compact vid.

      +jabbb London isn't cheap that's for sure :) I never want to make recommendations on prices really unless it's super expensive. People need to decide themselves what they can afford I guess :) 'Sourcing recreational options' is one of my favourite things to do and share haha

    Notice how she don't need a car to get about the city - just hops onto a bus.
    NO petrol needed, or insurance, or a parking spot, or servicing costs etc.
