❤Watching you from Costa Rica as I am learning marathi. I understood that she was not given money that's the why she was not able to go out and buy things. But with the blessings of her mother that changes. The restricted food the husband was getting at the beginning was how he treated his wife.
You brought me back to feeling much love being in India and the homemade food.

It is quite simple story. We have grieving wife who has lost her mom recently. She is not tasting her food which is what her hubby conveys. She is not shopping or doing anything. Her hubby is understanding hence he does not say anything cutting but is frustrated as others in factory are making fun of his food. He wants her to go out and become normal. But she is not even shopping - the whole you did not buy masala points to it. She is depending on her hubby to shop. Now for all those not aware of Indian kitchen, masala is considered as backbone of gravy and most household has secret recipe that is passed on from mom to daughter. The consistency for taste of food comes from masala used. Her relation with her mom was not always smooth. So our MC never paid attention to the masala her mom taught her. Finally she decided to make the masala and fill the house with memory of her mom. It is called as passing the heritage. She will now teach her daughter next.
