      Actually, I read this under another video that Silicium model fixed the issue with reflection on the bezel markers. Which is actually great! For me Silicium for sure!

    What is silicium mean?

    • @ginnazio89
      @ginnazio89  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Silicium is a material to make components in the mechanism that controls a movement, It can offer far greater resistance to the magnetic fields produced by everyday objects such as mobile phones, televisions, computers, hairdryers, radios ecc ecc

    A review with only music & no explanation is as useful as reading the lyrics to a song you've never heard before & expecting to know whether you like it or not. Here's what I think of the review:
    1-4-5 in a minor w/ solo in E Miolydian.. sounds great, doesn't it?? Oh wait, you can't hear it b/c you're reading words.

    This is a disaster! The color of the bezel is completely off compared to the dial. It looks totally different than on all official pictures even on Tissot page. On top of that no COSC despite using the same movement with silicon spring like Ballade. Again, official pictures on Tissot page show Chronometer sign on the back, but in reality it is not. Really a shameful letdown from Tissot this time!

    • @ginnazio89
      @ginnazio89  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      larsserin according to us, the color of the dial is not perfect either on this video or on the official tissot website. it is a metallic bleu very difficult to perceive through a screen, we advise you to go in a shop to see and try the Seastar on your wrist! We are sure you will like this blue!

    • @gpearce11
      @gpearce11 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      larsserin I think the blue probably looks different because of the sunburst on the dial, compared to plain gloss bezel, which makes it seem lighter when in direct lighting. The colours looked like they matched pretty well to me, until it was shown on the wrist under lights, then the dial came alive, and the bezel clearly didn’t.
      As for no COSC, getting COSC certification requires sending movements to COSC to be certified, which not only cost money in time and handling, but also requires paying COSC to certify the movements. This results in a COSC certified movement costing more than an uncertified movement, even if they’re otherwise identical.
      The movement in this (and the Gentleman), and the movement in the Ballade are identical, and probably made in the same batches, but the Ballade gets the movements that are sent to COSC for certification, which is why the Ballade costs $200 and $300 more than the Seastar and Gentleman despite identical movements. The average Powermatic 80 tends to have COSC accuracy (or at least be close); it’s just not guaranteed to have COSC accuracy. You have to pay for the time and money it takes to guarantee that accuracy, and most people are happy to save the couple hundred for “close enough”.

    • @larsserin
      @larsserin 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gpearce11 Dear Geoffrey, thanks for reply, but none of that was my point. The point was Tissot pictures show the same colour tone for dial and bezel while in reality this is not true. I am pretty aware that promo pictures tend to differ from reality sometimes to a great extent, however dial and bezel are almost always either both darker or lighter at the same time. This time dial is close to pictures, bezel is completely off. Simply put, colour of dial and bezel do not match each other one bit. I hit replay button several times, still see it the same way.
      As far as COSC, I am familiar with COSC certification increasing price of the watch. My point was Tissot is advertising this as a COSC watch by using pictures of display case back with chronometer designation. Go ahead and check their website. That can lead customers to logical assumption they are buying COSC watch as all Swiss watches with chronometer designation are COSC.
      These are the reasons I lost appetite for this new Seastar at the end and went for Christoper Ward C60 Trident Pro 600 which is similarly priced. It has bezel and dial in matching blue colour with better bezel action and stronger lume on top of that.

      larsserin yeah. I notice it too. I was surprised when knowing this new one have a silicium and chrono text. Iam shocked when the color of this watch (dial) is very different in their website.

      If a watch blends in your outfit, then you are doing something wrong. Don't even wear a watch. Blue is a natural color, you can wear this blue with almost anything and it'd go very well.
