If you're trying to read charts you have to know what indicators to use. I layer all my charts with Fibonacci retracement with ema(using Fibonacci #'s) also i use macd and rsi. If im planning on a entry or exit i use the 20 minute time frame. Throughout the day i switch between 20m 1hr and 4hr this is what works for me and allows me to see plays coming before they do
Added to 140 strike NVDA 10 contracts @ 0.964 for 8/30 expiration. Did GOOG for quick 12 min trade. In 0.825 avg out @ 1.085 avg $104 got engulfing pattern on 5 min road it up to make profit.

Let's be very clear about one thing. The "market" has been massively wrong on what the Fed should do with the funds rate for at least 2.5 years now. In early 2022 before the Fed even started hiking, the market was already forecasting rate cuts to happen by end of 2022. The market at the start of 2024 had 7 rate cuts for 2024. Laughable to suggest the Fed is the one that has been getting this wrong. It has proven out that they were right to start hiking in early 2022, aggressively ramp up that funds rate, and then keep it at the terminal rate until now. Also, the Fed on numerous occasions has stated that a recession will likely occur as a result of this hiking cycle. The market consensus has been no or soft landing, which is another thing they will be massively wrong on...........I've been engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 140k to a decent 539k....I'm especially grateful to Whitney Eston, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

I see what you're saying, every morning I get up and I draw my trend lines of where I want to be or think I'm going to be. I don't know how to get the confidence that you have or others I've purchased 50 100 up to 200 contracts. I never let them run I'm sure it's a psychological thing when I get so stressed watching that amount of money move around I usually end up turning it into a scalp only to find out later on that day I could have made way more since then I typically only buy 5 or 10 at a time. Especially with the volatility that we are currently in it makes me very uneasy. Any words of wisdom?

With his strategy, a margin account would not be a good idea, assuming you don’t have 25k in your account . I’d recommend sticking with a cash account so you can trade. He is in and out . If you’re on a margin account yku are limited to 3 day trades every 5 days . You could get stuck holding something overnight
