Thanks so much for this video! My Saint Francis birdbath statue has begun to crumble in certain areas and I was hoping I’d be able to repair it. Your video was super helpful! I can't believe that held that well. If that was me it would have fallen off as soon as I pushed the paper in the hole or started to file it smooth. Good job.

Bondo works perfect also, just you have to work with it fast
once you use hardener. But it would work just fine
also

Why not use fiberglass tape to give a better molding surface.

I'm surprised that the wood filler doesn't crack and fall off when the weather changes.
How long will this hold up before needs additional touch ups and repairs.

that was really good work that will be helpful for me because I have a life size cow made of fiber glass in my yard with a broken ear, I have a question, I recently bought an outdoor resin statue titled " angel of patience" I wanted to know if you would know if I could spray the entire statue with a silicone sealer to sort of protect it from the elements, I know in the winter I need to store it away which I will but until the winter I wanted to treat it with something or should I let it alone.

Bob, will this same process work for repairing a garden bench made of “fiberstone”? It is for decoration only, not sitting. I put lightweight potted flowers on it. Have had it going on 3 years and each year it ‘erodes’ more. I would also like to find a product to seal it. Any ideas? It is a Dachshund Garden bench sold by Tractor Supply, for a better idea of what I looking to repair. Thank you.
