It was a breakaway setup. Let Eli use my normal one. On guns like that I’ll rig a shaft with the end loop of shooting line being just in front of the reel when rigged. That way I can put a small bungee from that loop to the line release for break away or just tie the reel line to the loop for reel.
Strange way to run your reel line straight off the reel without a guide near the muzzle. My new boats here on January 5th, so looking forward to a boat where I can keep 2 or more divers in water and still have several people on boat spotting.

I only had a shaft rigged for breakaway that day, so just tied it to reel line.
