I'm amazed that you still eat the cig prone fish like that big uku after knowing you're at that threshold. Are there any fish that you would avoid eating now... like large knifejaws? I won’t even consider eating Waha Nui, Kaku (unless it’s Kawalea), Roi or big Knifejaws. I do it Knifejaw up to about 3#. Not going to quit eating reef fish anytime soon, so just try to pick my battles. 🤙🏼

What were the other species you had consumed previously that had Ciguatera and which was the worst experience you had?
Worst time I’ve gotten it was the first two in French Polynesia. Both times I was fed by someone else who was a local there, so I trusted their judgement and didn’t ask what kind of fish it was. Ended up being Napoleon Wrasse and a Barracuda. I would have never touched those fish had I have known.
@@strikemissions each time you had it, were the symptoms took effect within few hours (maybe less?) or a day later coz I heard some cases where it will only appear after 24hrs

@Kannon Allen for sure, that speargun is sick, it’s an @coatesmans CDR Step up 120 with dual 14mm bands. I have a 130 with exactly the same setup (hand loadable). While it may contain certain RA parts it is 100 percent Chris Coates.
I’m using Jerry Brown Industries 300# Line One hollow, spliceable Specta. I love this stuff. Never going back to mono shooting line. It doesn’t give the diameter info on the spool, but it’s really low profile. Insane abrasion resistance too. Bought it from TackleDirect.com

It’s a custom wetsuit that my buddy in New Zealand made for me. He’s not making them for customers anymore though.
