  • Today we take out the SR. Telemaster to remaiden after not being flown for 10 years and repairing and recovering the main wing. The original plans don’t call for a split wing but we added a wing tube to make for easier transport and storage. We also lowered the dihedral and added flaps These slight modifications make this a really fun plane to fly, powered by a saito 72 bring it to an idle and deploy the flaps and watch it float above the runway. If your thinking about getting into radio control models go ahead and subscribe, and follow along as I build and fly and review all kinds of radio control models.

That's like 100 degree flaps. I totally understand the desire to push a classic plane like this to it's breaking point. I did it to my Kadet and it was a terrible feeling to fold the wings up just pulling out of a dive, but it happens. It doesn't seem fair. The Telemaster has a ton of wing to fly on and it works against you when flown like a more aerobatic plane. I would have done the same thing and probably suffered the same result.

Planning on rebuild after I finish the Pitts but planning on making the flaps and ailerons a little bigger.
