I’m a beginner just starting out. I really enjoyed the fact that you took your time. Take explain in detail For someone who’s only been playing a couple weeks. Thank you for putting this together.
So happy to hear, and thanks for your kind words! I put a lot of thought and care into my videos so it's so lovely to hear that they are helping people. Welcome to the ukulele - it's a joyful little world!! Keep going, you can do it!
I appreciate so much how you explain the counting and the singing key and just all the details you put into these. The quality of your lessons is seriously top notch. I love the quick play-along tutorials out there as well, they're great to learn how to play a song real quick but I always have questions about, like....the more technical side I guess you could say? Whatever its called you cover it perfectly lol thank you so much.
Hey MC, wow thank you so much for this! Yes, even for beginner players it's essential to know the key, time feel and go a few layers deeper into learning a song with counting, etc. So happy you enjoyed it! Haha yes my videos tend to be longer than the average fast tutorial. I do hope that I inspire folks to slow down a bit in this fast paced world! Glad you found me here - let me know if you ever have any questions ☺
I just found you and I love your teaching! I really love the way you explain each cord and the counting. Before I had always been confused with the counting. Thank you!
Thank you so much Linda! I'm happy to hear that my teaching style resonated with you - AND that you had an "aha!" moment with counting, that is awesome. Welcome to Ukulele Wine Time!
Amazing! Another one on the list of "to learns" I've got as it was down now. Going to start on aint no sunshine later today. Then this one, I reckon!! Youre really helping me to expand my repertoire. Thank you so much!!!
Yep. Will do Kathryn. As it was sounds great! I posted a video of me doing it on my Facebook. Eeeeek! 🙈 First time I posted any uke stuff. Seems people like it aaaaaand. Their ears didn't bleed hearing my "singing" voice. So thsts a bonus. Im still hoping you can check out "I miss" by sunna and tutorial that.... OK. Plug over! Aha ha ha ha!
You are such good teacher ! Soon I hope to join your group when I feel a little more confident with playing. How the thursday group works ? Also what is your ukulélé ? I 'm looking to invest in a concert one now ...
Hey Laurence, thank you so much! We meet once a month and I teach a song live (used to be over Zoom, but we are trying out Discord for this month's meetup). No one can hear you, you'll be muted, so no need to feel unsure!! And you can always turn off video too if you prefer. The group is extrememely kind and supportive as well, we make everyone feel welcome. 😊 My ukulele is a tenor from Kala, this one is my absolute favorite. It's a Solid Cedar Top Acacia Tenor with Cutaway & EQ. If you go with a Kala, which I love!!, feel free to use my link for 10% off: kalabrand.com/ukulele-wine-time
Thanks Kathryn, many thanks for your replies. I'm going definitely join soon :)) ( sorry if my messages get some bad spelling, i'm actually french with an english husband :))
Sorry to bother you with my questions ( i've sent this question twice on you website but didn't get a reply - no worries - i know that the internet tech is sometimes a mystery!) - I would like just to know at what time wine club is happening on french time ? Many thanks :). Happy New Year Kathrin's , as well as thé community:)
I'm a ukulele player, but I haven't recorded any videos of me playing the instrument. On my TH-cam account, I primarily play the bass. I might record a video of me playing the ukulele.
Hi! Because I teach it like an actual music lesson. You can skip around using the time stamps as needed. If you want a quick microwave style teaching method that glosses over important details, this is probably not the channel for you!

It can be a fun thing to do! Let me know if you post any, would love to check it out. :) Cheers!

Thanks Ruhel!
You really seem to know music. What is your background? We’re you a music major?
Thanks, I try! I have my masters degree (and undergrad) in music from the Univ. of North Texas in music performance (jazz, vocal). 👩🏻🎓
Can I use G 7 instead of G , it’s easier for me.
Yes, you could use G7 instead of G if that's easier for you!
Why is this 43 minutes long? 😭

@@UkuleleWineTime Woah Woah! I love all of it. Just that I was a little overwhelmed by seeing the length of the video. Great lesson, Subscribed!
