Please allow me to make a small correction: "Deutz" is pronounced with a "ts" like in "cats", but a bit sharper. Not with a "sh". This applies to almost all occurrences of "tz" in the German language. There are very few exceptions like "Reitzeug" ("riding gear") or "Fortziehen" ("to pull/move away"), where the "tz" is between a root word and suffixes or between a prefix and a root word.
